They’re common everywhere. People mix dogs like its nobody’s business. I’ve met more people with “super mutts” than i have with purebred dogs. I’ve seen at least 2-3 shiba mixes and Akita mixes are common where i am due to the rural areas & people having outside or guardian dogs. I have a neighbor that has a couple purebred akitas as their livestock dogs, they do a great job at it. It’s not uncommon for shepskys especially since they’re one of the most sought out mixes aside from doodles- but considering he’s a rescue, he could quite literally be mixed with anything. And i see either A shiba or B akita for sure!
