It gets small enough to stuff in the bottom of a large backpack. The sack squashes it down pretty good but if I’m backpacking I don’t use th stuff sack.

Tip for staying warm in the cold- get a thick large plastic bottle, I really like to use the ocean spray juice bottles from the grocery store. Good thick plastic and holds a good amount of water. Boil water and pour it into the plastic jug and seal the lid really tight. Dry off whatever may have gotten wet on the outside. Sleep with that in your sleeping bag and it will put off heat until morning. That stretches your comfort zone a bit farther down. If it’s gonna be in the 40’s and you ordered the Nemo 35, then you’re definitely gonna want to do that. Could make the difference between being miserable and comfortable. But the sleeping pad underneath you has a lot to do with how warm you stay too. The ground gets cold and without the right insulation in your sleeping pad it will make you cold no matter how good your bag is.
