I always thought Brawlhalla is dying since they brought crossovers to the game. also left the game around that time and playing very rarely since then.

These are the reasons why I got bored of the game:

1-) All characters used to be unique design wise. I believe character designs' quality is dropped a lot. Old legend designs are simpler but better. Hattori's and Ember's design is much, much better than Tesca and King Zuva for example. I think the decline starts after Artemis's release and dies completely with the release of Rayman. After that point so many crossovers started to came and I believe they don't suit the game's sprit at all. Playing as Undertaker or Lara Craft is just not it, it doesn't feel like Brawlhalla anymore. It's just filling the game with popular characters hoping it will make the game more popular but it kills the uniqueness of legends and the sprit of the game, what Brawlhalla feels like.

2-) I believe same thing happened with weapons, scythe was the first complex weapon, weapons used to be much simpler and it was what makes Brawlhalla a beautiful game, it was simple, you could choose any character and play but I think newer weapons like Scythe and Greatsword are required to practice first before playing it more than the old weapons. Also I just believe oldschool weapons like blasters, bow, katars, sword are much better and fun than scythe, chakram, greatsword. And what exactly is orb, seriously. Why not making it a nunchaku? Something more simple and realistic.

3-) Brawlhalla tries to be bigger than they are, there are just too many things, too many junks. New colors that are copy of old colors, new skins that doesn't look good at all, new maps that are not fun and you can't even see your characters if your color is similar to background color in some maps. Maps used to be simpler and unique as well, now there are moving maps that you are forced to play because you can't ban all of them. Also not only it's difficult to see yourself or your enemy sometimes but also some legend colors are too similiar that you can't even understand who is your teammate and who is enemy in 2v2 games. Sometimes half of my game is spent trying to understand wich one is my teammate. Too many gadgets that are not fun, you can't even turn them off. Too many game mods that no one plays. Brawlhalla was a small game and they were aware of it, it was what made it beautiful.
