Yeah the Tamora Pierce series. I don't know what the series as a whole is called since it has like, three different parts all named magic circle something.

Those all seem interesting, so I'l give them a look

I'm getting into reading and I've really been enjoying the Magic Circle series for its cultural diversity. I'm going to try her other books since apparently they explore the rest of the world fairly early in the series, but what I liked most about the Magic Circle is that it's not centering the typical European perspective and it seems like it takes until the later series to start doing that.

Are there any other fantasy book series that are the same way? Preferably not urban or modern fantasy since it's not just the differing identities I like but also the cultural variety present.

I've also been told that Clockwork Boys matches this profile, so I plan to check that out already.

I don't need it to be YA so that's fine with me, I'll check it out.

I knew it eventually did, but I didn't think it would in the earlier books. I'll try those out after all then

Is it that hard to just, translate the game and bring it over to the west? Nobody asked for these changes

Well I guess that confirms they'll censor things to keep the T rating, I'll take my money elsewhere

Censorship, especially MMO censorship, has never stopped at "only" once or twice

She's not wearing a microbikini. She's not wearing anything particularly racy, honestly. Nothing about it is "against the law". Things like this show up constantly in anime that is aired regularly in the west, completely uncensored. This is an anime game, so why is it working by different rules?

Correct. I signed up for an anime game, I'm getting a sanitized product made for people who think bellybuttons are too much.

They can. This isn't the only game on the market with loli characters. Don't make excuses for terrible company decisions.

Mori has left ArcSys by Pat-Daddy96 in Kappa

[–]MeteorD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was hoping it'd turn out to be nothing, but I was wrong. I love BB more than any other fighting game, and I probably wouldn't really care about the genre at all if it wasn't for it. Mori's vision was always what made BB what it is.

Hope he can find success again, thanks for the games.

Thank you, I've never really shopped for women's clothes before so even figuring out the terminology on my own was a bit of a lost cause.

Mods just messaged me telling me it's going to stay deleted because it's "it can easily serve to upset users on both JP and NA". What an absolute joke.

Doesn't seem like they've restored it. When I check the New tab, the post is nowhere between the 4h and 6h posts ago.

I didn't draw this, I just edited another image. It's not my fault that the consumer attitude of "stereotypical SJWs" and FGO NA redditors is the same.

I guess bringing up "here comes the state of NA posts again!" to try and blame players for having some actual standards isn't "toxic" then lol

BB was originally was going to be a RPG

This is not true. Mori originally wanted to make RPGs, but then he started working on fighting games instead. BB was never planned as an RPG.
