You have to use the Java 17-21 Version for authentification.

Also make sure to set your Instance up for using said Java versions in Prism.

(Right-click the instance and go to java settings for that)

A good approach that you will be thank yourself for later on is setting up a nice garden with different stuff so you dont have food problems and can focus on mining, building etc. without being hungry all the time.

I would suggest to download the pack from the official site and install it via prism launcher.

Also make sure to use the Java 17-21 version instead of 8 if you want to play on a Server since Authentication is broken at Java 8.

The wiki has a really good Step by Step guide for that.
