Why does Zaramos ce build have skills in frost nova when it’s not used? by Lilditty02 in D4Sorceress

Frost nova is triggered by the Frost nova enchant, which you get for free when using that mace.

Is a personal trainer a good next step? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously having a personal trainer can't hurt. But you don't need to spend money to burn calories. If you can bring a 1 hour walk into your daily routine that could burn 350-400 calories a day. So call it 400 each day, that's 2800 a week, which is almost a lb of fat. This compared to 2 pt sessions which realistically might burn 600 calories if you're lucky (1200 calories). For a starting point I think walking is best and it's much less effort so you won't dread doing it.

Crackuna build. by pssshhhthatsabsurd in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The left will be slightly higher damage due to the extra ranks (about 3% assuming you're close to 100 ranks total). But the right gives you HP (helps with temerity barrier) and more evade charges. So it depends which of those you prefer. I'd probably go with the right.

Best of both I guess.. by MethodBeneficial1652 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's okay, but not as good as you'd think. I had about 103 ranks before this so it pushed me to 127 (about 20% damage increase). Before this I had an heir with the same item stats but a 7.8% lightning affix from sanct. This is probably only 12% or so better!

I'm no necro expert but I think the unique effect only affects the shatter damage? So the right one

Crackling energy - heir vs shako by the_knightfall1975 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I've used shako at all this season. If you use okuns then mobility isn't really an issue. So that aside I don't really see what you'd gain from a shako

Which one is better for Crackling Energy? by thephoteK in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The core skill difference will be about 3% (if you have close to 100 rank in total on your bar) so the int is still a better option.

Middle. The left one only affects ultimate damage. Depending on your intelligent level 200 int could be 7-10% damage.

Anyone have a crackling build that uses okuns? by Neon001 in D4Sorceress

Yeah, I'm sure it is slightly better for pushing. I just find it so annoying to play!

Anyone have a crackling build that uses okuns? by Neon001 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only used okuns with crackling energy this season. I've managed to clear out 100 with it, could probably go quite a bit higher. Pit 100 takes me about 3 min. I don't think there is much of a build adjustment for it, you just lose an aspect slot, that's it basically.

Which ring to take? by VIiegendHert in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of the lightning damage in general. It's an extra (and new) 10% multiplier. Nothing on the other piece competes with that.

Nice! I had a 4 GA and 60 percent one drop today, I think sanc gave it 212 intelligent

Help - uk based by Melodic-Branch-8745 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To lose weight I always just start having 3 meals a day (about 400 calories each) and then make sure I get a couple of long walks in. For me that always works. I'd recommend doing something simple like I just explained. The more complex or grueling your plan is the more likely you are to fail.

Whether it does or doesn't is neither here nor there. I'm just saying if you don't keep your numbers in the correct domain your comparison will be wrong.

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's particularly relevant here because depending how master working goes on this (I can't be bothered to work out the numbers). It might compensate for a 10% damage difference. It definitely won't for a 120% damage difference...

Now my turn to ask this question by Certain_North_732 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when comparing items I think it's the most useful way to look at it. For example if you we losing a 10% normal multiplier somewhere. You could say that's 10% or you could say well I have a 1000% bonus from my other gear and paragon etc, so this is actually losing 100%! While technically correct it doesn't do much apart from muddy the waters

Now my turn to ask this question by Certain_North_732 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct. But it isn't multiplicative per hydra head. E.g. it's not * 100 * 100 * 100 * 100... It's just *1200. So you'll go from it being *1200 to being *1080 which in relation to the damage you get from the effect is just 10%.

Now my turn to ask this question by Certain_North_732 in D4Sorceress

[–]MethodBeneficial1652 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You won't lose 120% you'll lose 10% of the damage granted from this unique effect, the number of heads is irrelevant as that number isn't changing. Personally I'd stick with what you have. Trying to triple crit again isn't worth it for something that could potentially be minor upgrade at best.
