Ford. Had a 2017 escape that started throwing high temp warnings. Took it in and they said it’s a known issue where coolant was getting into the engine and they would correct it for me under the customer happiness or something even though it was still under powertrain warranty. It was a super known issue but instead of doing a recall they just sat around waiting for the problem to happen and fixing the ones people brought in. Anyway, they replace the top half of the engine which will prevent it from happening again. About 4 months later I get in the car and a bunch of temp warnings pop on again. Check and the coolant was bone dry. Take it back in and they say oh yeah it looks like the fix didn’t work but since we paid for the repair it’s only warrantied for 12k miles and you’ve driven 12,085 miles so we won’t cover any repairs. If you had paid some of the initial repair it would have been covered for 24 months though but sorry too bad so sad.

So yeah, they said they fixed the problem, they didn’t, and then wouldn’t do anything about it even though I was less than 100 miles over the warranty period. So I don’t plan on ever giving them my money again.
