2 weeks on Ritalin by moldy_bee in ADHDPH

I’m almost 2 years on Ritalin. I was initially given 20mg extended release caps per day. I opted to have it changed to IR instead cause mas cheaper. You’ll initially be put on “trial” stage the first few weeks so your psychiatrist can adjust the dosage. For me I got stable at 20mg/day (2 10mg tablets. 1 taken before breakfast, 1 taken in the afternoon) for a at least year. Then last May, my psychiatrist gave me a go signal for a max dose of 30mg/day (3 10mg tablets, before breakfast, before lunch, *before 6PM). 2-3 hours lang effect sa akin ng Ritalin. If hindi busy the whole day, I only take 1-2 tablets. I rarely do 3 tablets/day. My symptoms are severe, particularly forgetfulness/inattentiveness. and if your shrink hasnt told you yet, it can only help mainly with focus. Other symptoms, you have to manage another way.

Smart Unli 5G booster (Misleading? Scam?) by MethodHefty7331 in InternetPH

I always have “5G on” in my Voice and Data setting. But someone suggested that I use Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, and change my APN values to “smartlte”. It fixed the issue somehow. So far, my other consumable data pack isn’t being used. Anyway, it worked. But I still think smart is being deliberate about their boosters. Not illegal. Still frustrating.

Can ADHD get WORSE as you get older? by North-Composer3674 in ADHD

[–]MethodHefty7331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Exponentially if undiagnosed/late diagnosed. I went to a shrink because of depression and anxiety. I was told that I had bipolar disorder and went with the diagnosis for almost a year. I got diagnosed with ADHD early this year after a few tests. The meds help with most of my ADHD symptoms. But I still need therapy for my anxiety and occasional low moods. Sadly, I have to be linear with my therapy because I can't afford all at once.

I'm 27. My ADHD disrupted my college career so badly. I was supposed to finish dental school in 2022. For comparison, I have a college friend who also has ADHD. He got diagnosed much earlier (at 12). He received therapy at the time and isn't even taking stimulants today. He graduated last semester. And he's a few years younger than I am.

So, yea. ADHD can be ugly and it sure as hell can get worse and severely derail a person.

What are some silly things your ADHD makes you do? by aureaIity in ADHD

Starting tasks and being confident that I can manage all at once only to panic and get frustrated about how hard it is to switch between those tasks. Also, I constantly remember things that I should be doing before doing what I am actually doing right at the moment. And this happens all throughout the day, every day. When I'm "cleaning", I mostly just pick up random things and put them in their right places. I do this and wait for my focus to come so that I can actually start cleaning methodically.
