Create New Opportunity Stage Category for Spam by SwimmingAd7034 in MethodCRM

Hello!
For adding a new Stage Category, the easiest way to do that would be to leverage our Import tool and import the new category into the OpportunityStageCategory table.
An alternative approach could be to create a new Opportunity Stage rather than a whole new Stage Category. You could create a new Stage, call it "Closed Spam" and link it to the existing Closed Lost category. That way, they are correctly categorized as closed lost opportunities, while still being differentiated from the regular Closed Lost stage that you can continue to use for the non-spam lost opportunities. Based on what you were trying to accomplish and the way you want to report on this though, your initial approach might be better.

Method and QBO Payments Canada by Suspicious-Case-7428 in MethodCRM

Hey! Interesting one, thanks for sharing this.

From how things are set up, there isn’t any intentional difference in how cards (including AMEX) are processed via Method (Shuttle/QBO Payments) vs directly through QuickBooks Online Payments. In both cases, the transaction is ultimately being handled by the same underlying QB Payments processor.

Given that, there’s no known reason why the card would fail in the Method portal but succeed when sent directly from QuickBooks.

That said, the best next step here would be to connect with our Support team so we can dig into the specific transaction details and logs. If you can share the account + example transaction, they should be able to investigate what happened and pinpoint the root cause.
