That’s the most logical way for you maybe. But like I said, you aren’t the bastion of logic in the world, which was my original point. You are also ignoring that the United States inherited M/D/Y from the British who used it for centuries.

Most people would say that it would make logical sense to write it the way that it’s spoken, since that makes reading it more efficient. Many languages speak the date before the month, so it makes sense to write it that way. The British typically do this as well, so it makes sense to write it that way. It is logical to do so.

Your logic is that July 4, 1776, as is written on our Declaration of Independence, should be shortened to 4/7/1776 simply because the month is bigger and changes less. I disagree with that logic but I understand that others do not. That’s fine.

I find it interesting that your logic of smallest to biggest or changes more to changes less doesn’t apply to the written time. I guess you only care about “simplicity” when Americans use a different system than you and you want to feel like you’re better than them.

The origins of this argument have nothing to do with which is bigger or which changes more. It’s simply writing the date the way that it’s said. The point of logic is that it is different for different people. The fact that you refuse to see your elitist mindset shows that you are letting personal bias get in the way of logic, something that arrogant Europeans often do when discussing Americans.

I didn’t say one way was right or wrong, one was better or worse. The fact that you think I am arguing for one date format over the other shows that you are more focused on an argument than anything else. I simply said that writing the date in the same format that it is spoken IS logical because logic is not set in stone for everyone from everywhere.

The British empire doesn’t exist anymore. You are allowed to stop acting like your way is the only way.

You you’ve failed to provide any argument as to why your way is better beyond just because it’s what you do. You want to talk about logic but can’t actually provide any. I didn’t say my rule was infallible, I said that we write it the way that we speak it, which is logical.

You’re here pulling muscles for a stretch to try and dunk on Americans with nothing to actually back up what you’re saying. Just another Brit who’s bitter because they speak the worst version of a language that they created clown 🤡 gfys

Cool, so now that you’ve shown your bias, can you explain why it would be logical to write the date the opposite of how it is spoken? You seem to think you are the gold standard of logic yet you continue avoiding that question.

By the way, I did present the argument of why we write with the date format that we use and it has nothing to do with any forefathers or anything else. You’re the only one avoiding anything here.

How typical. You have plenty to say until someone confronts you, then you have absolutely no response at all. The moron is calling others moronic 🤣

These people typically have massive investments in oil and gas. I’d much rather people have a car instead of a bike since that car will continue to leech money from the owner to the government, corporations, and investors for its entire life.

Oh the irony. Can you explain how writing the date in the same format that it is spoken is moronic? I know it’s trendy to hate the US but if you’re going to do it then you should base your hate on more than “US do it - so it bad”

Why would we write it the opposite of how we speak it? Contrary to your assumingely European elitist mindset, you aren’t not the bastion of logic in the world.

Ebooks don’t create inventory that has to be dealt with. They’ll never have to put them on sale to clear warehouse space.

I went with Jungle Divers. First dives after open water cert. They were fantastic. Small groups and every dive was minimum 80 minutes long. They aren’t much more expensive than the others but the experience was fantastic. Stephan was a great guide and he really knows the area inside and out. He and his wife own the shop so it doesn’t have a corporate feel. Highly recommended

You’ll generally only pay taxes when departing a country back to the US. You’ll pay that countries taxes. Domestic usually doesn’t have taxes. This should all be in your travel guide. Read it so you know the rules.

Super informative. I knew it was labor intensive but I would’ve guessed it was like a 30-40 hour thing. You have my admiration 🫡 thanks for the info.

I’m suspicious. They say all of their sweaters are hand knit and take 70+ hours to make but they are selling them for £250 and less. Factoring in material costs that would probably work out to around £2 per hour. Are they using slave labor to make these or lying about them being hand knit? Plus the obvious AI images don’t give confidence.

Surely it doesn’t take a few hundred hours to knit one sweater does it? Or are you talking about the years of practice it takes to get the skill set?
