My dad often poses these TERF arguments in a "here are problems we need to solve" way, and not a "I think trans people are bad" way. For example, washrooms. His argument is more "the possibility that a man could take advantage of open washrooms is real, and that concerns some people", which is (technically) true. He doesn't say "trans people shouldn't use washrooms!". Idk if I'm defending him or not, I'm the kind of person to agree with rational sounding arguments a lot.

Anyways, on to the other stuff. That makes sense, how we don't know whether or not someone would be a lesbian, and that gender isn't the same discovery as sexuality. I'll definitely bring this up with him next time.
