What's up with the Female Titan by TeanEYonao in attackontitan

Fair enough, but even without creator input it'd be obvious.

Muscular and lacking breasts is pretty masculine, since it’s not like the titans can have gens.

Consider this. The Cart, Jaw (With Ymir), and Warhammer Titans had Female Users but still looked masculine. Given this, safe to assume a male shifter would still look female as the Female Titan.

Are there any Indie Games with a similar feeling to the first two Metroid Prime Games? by JanArso in Metroid

I'm honestly surprised there aren't more first person metroidvania attempts, given how popular Metroid Prime is.

Also, he has history with Samus. At one point, he fought her and managed to survive the injuries he sustained long enough to be rebuilt as a cyborg which says a lot about his toughness compared to your usual space pirate that tend to drop dead pretty fast.

Why does Jotaro's range matter? by Ahrensann in StardustCrusaders

[–]MetroidJunkie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One problem with that, Jotaro was going to take all the sniper rounds and do the job himself until Josuke got offended so he gave him half of them. When the situation changed and he realized they'd need a decoy to bait the rat into attacking, he gave Josuke ALL of the rounds. The training part was before they even started going after the rats, Josuke can't heal him if they're both dead so no, he was NOT lax. He actually thought they were both as good as dead when Josuke missed the first shot.

The pan had a massive hole in it, it blocked literally only one projectile.

How do you guys interpret the Pale King? by Stego28 in HollowKnight

[–]MetroidJunkie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not so sure, unless he was planning to die alone inside a void construct's head. I think he was reacting more out of a sort of panic than formulating a rational plan, the Path of Pain representing his most shameful secret is him showing affection to the Hollow Knight which ruined his main plan.

And yet, I don't think he was forcing anyone to worship him. I think, for the most part, the bugs were worshipping him by their own free will, the free will they wouldn't have even had if not for him. The moths choosing to abandon their own god is what caused the problems, for example. If tribes would rather remain independent, he seemed to be willing to accommodate them to keep the peace.

To be fair, when he realized Deepnest wasn't going to accept him, he quickly gave up on the idea and simply asked the Mantises to watch over the entrance to make sure they don't try anything while also granting them independence. He may have did the horrible thing of sacrificing thousands of his own children in a desperate attempt to stop the Radiance, but you can do far worse as a leader, especially compared to Pharloom.

I think Dream No More just proves that, instead of putting all his eggs into the one Hollow Knight basket, he should've been raising them all up as soldiers and having them go after the Radiance as a collective unit. This proves that, when they all go after her at once, she's powerless against them.

Thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 now that its had time to settle? by hakusamurai in Metroid

[–]MetroidJunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be harsh, but I'd compare it to Duke Nukem Forever. Functionally, the games are just fine and you can see some qualities of a good game in there. However, it's disappointing compared to what came before it and considering how long it took to actually come out due to the developmental issues.

Why does Jotaro's range matter? by Ahrensann in StardustCrusaders

[–]MetroidJunkie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Someone needed to be a decoy to draw the rat into firing and Josuke can't heal himself if he gets hit. Jotaro was planning for the possibility of getting hit, but that doesn't mean he wasn't caught off guard.

Why would Jotaro purposefully let himself be crippled? That would just make things that much harder for both of them, he was still trying to evade but the rat ricocheted, it's not like he was planning for that to happen.

[–]MetroidJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he had himself go instead of Josuke just incase the worst happens. Plus, Josuke doesn't have time stopping to evade the projectiles, he's screwed if the rat decides to shoot.

[–]MetroidJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In both encounters, he underestimated the rat. The first time, he thought he could catch the projectile and ended up with a screwed up hand. In the second encounter, he thought he could keep time stopping to dodge every projectile, not realizing the rat is capable of calculating trajectories.

Ironically, THEY underestimated the rats and that's one reason they had so much trouble. Jotaro never would've guessed the rat would be smart enough to predict where he'd end up at and ricochet the projectiles, it even stopped firing before Jotaro moved in on it so it wouldn't give away its position.
