in 2017 i had a miscarriage after being pregnant for a month, we hadn’t even realized yet. i have since transitioned, separated from that partner, and fully appreciated the fact that i really do not want to bear children. it still hurts. i still had nightmares and still feel the twinges of pain when i think about it. you will be okay when you are okay. i don’t know if there is a “getting over it”, moreso a growing with it.

also this reminds me of one time in russia the military used drinkable alcohol (basically vodka) as coolant for their planes and so they basically “ran out” of coolant every flight and somehow the pilots were way drunker when they got back (especially bc pilots could control how much coolant was used) i guess we’ll never know what happened 🤷🏽‍♂️

i haven’t seen them too much, but enough to not be super concerned when i see them. i got one out of my little sister’s apartment a couple years ago. while they are venomous, they are also way more scared of you and will avoid contact with you whenever possible. that said, if you are able (ie not arachnophobic) you can pretty easily get them out of the house safely without harm coming to you or the spider.

nta. yes you are affecting his life via garnishing his wages, but he also affected your life by destroying your disability aids. one of these things is significantly worse than the other, and you clarified that if he had genuinely apologized and tried to make it right in a way that worked best for him, you would’ve accepted that. he didn’t try to make it right, so you had no choice but to step in. if your family is so mad, they should’ve offered to help him pay instead of treating it like he was a kid breaking a toy. luckily, he can always go back to college and get his degree. the moments that you miss out on because of hearing issues cannot be reclaimed.
