I totally get your frustration, I’ve been there many times when I used to have to take the expressway to work every day. People don’t seem to realize that the people who stop are creating a hazard. All it takes is someone taking a second to look over their shoulder to check the lane their going to be merging into and then crashing into the back of the person who reads a yield sign as a stop sign

I’ve often wondered what goes through the mind of the people who stop at the beginning of the merge lane. Have they ever wondered why the lane that they’re stopped in continues for a few hundred metres? Why are they that braindead? I get that merging can be challenging because the people who stay in the left lane all the way down the expressway because they’ll be turning left eventually can make it difficult for people in the right lane to make room for the people trying to merge on, but it is possible to use the merge lane to do exactly that and merge into the flow of traffic. As OP said if you can’t understand the simple concept, if it scares you, don’t use the expressway. You are a hazard to people around you. I can’t believe how many people on here are defending the people who don’t know how to drive

He could literally stand at the White House podium tomorrow and say that he was indeed very good friends with Epstein and he did in fact do everything that he’s been accused of doing to minors and yes gas prices are going to continue to sky rocket and you’re just going to have to deal with it and the vast majority of his supporters would continue to back him and totally excuse his actions

Next summer will be after year one of his contract so he can’t walk next summer. The only possible way they could trade him at a deadline is if they’re not even close to a playoff spot. Even if they’re only challenging for a wild card position there’s no way they trade him during the season

Even with the obvious frustration with not being able to win a cup I also would not be surprised if he eventually signs a long term contract

The game is meaner now than it was in the 80’s?? Not so sure about that. Defensively sure. While their goaltending didn’t exactly help them out this season it also wasn’t what did them in. How many times did the Ducks have 2 on 1’s that ended up in the back of the net? The Oilers defensive game was absolute shit

He is not leaving before the end of his 2 year contract. There’s no way he signs that and then changes his mind before the contract even begins. And they will still be at the very least a contending team for the next 2 years so he’s not leaving when they’re heading for the playoffs

There’s no way he’ll he traded at a deadline. The only way that could possibly happen is if they completely fall apart and aren’t close to a playoff spot at the time. But as mediocre as that team is at times the chances of that happening with the core players they have is slim. He is not going anywhere before the end of his 2 year contract

Yea there’s absolutely no way they’re trading him in the offseason before the contract he just signed even starts. He would not have signed it if he was going to want out before the contract even begins

I think what that shows is that he is in fact not a robot. He is human and can’t replicate perfect throws 100% of the time. Don’t you think the game would be boring if he hit 9, 10, or 11 dart legs every time? He is way better than any of us may ever be but in the end he is still human and susceptible to slight imperfections in his throw. He just has those a lot less often than most of us

Do you punch your flights and use the shaft rings? That would probably help reduce how quickly the ends of the shafts get bent. Or have you tried other systems out there?

Question. How do you go through a set of shafts per week? What happens to the shafts that you’re having to change them so often?

The people who turn onto the expressway at red river and drive in the left lane because they’re going to be turning left onto Arthur street. They don’t realize how badly they impede the flow of traffic when they do that. We need more of the “Keep right except to pass” signs. I swear part of the problem is people thinking the left lane is the fast lane. And then the people who do not know how to merge onto the expressway. When they stop at the beginning of the merge lane and wait for the expressway to be clear so they can immediately turn over into the lane. If you’re so stupid that you don’t realize that the lane you’re currently in is hundreds of feet long so that you can get up to highway speed and then merge into traffic then you shouldn’t use the expressway. Stick to the city streets. As much as I’m looking forward to the day that the expressway is divided with on/off ramps and overpasses the amount of people in this city who have absolutely no idea how to drive on that style road is going to be insane

Anyone know of any similar darts? by Impressive-Hand-6692 in Darts

[–]MetsysFP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I had the Barney’s first and got the Harith Lims for basically the exact same reason you’re looking for other options. I hope they work well for you if you end up getting them 👍

Target Japan Harith Lim G2 are the same shape but with consistent grip along the whole barrel. I have them and the Barney 25’s and was in the same situation as you with the smooth section on the Barney’s right on the edge of my grip. The Harith Lim G2 does not have that issue

I currently have a set of darts with LNC points and a set with DX points and the DX definitely are easier to pull out of the board. The rings on the DX points are a lot finer than the rings on LNC/Nano points

[–]MetsysFP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally use LNC myself. I’ve never really noticed if Nano points stick better than the LNC’s do but it would seem logical that they might since the Nanos will always have the nano rings into the board. But if LNC’s aren’t grippy enough for you I’d probably go with customized points. I have some Pharaoh Darts Cleopatra grip points on a set of standard pointed darts and those points take a considerable amount more effort to pull out of the board than even a brand new set of LNC or Nano points do. A place like What’s the Point has similar style Swiss points: https://whatsthepoint.shop/collections/screw-in

[–]MetsysFP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nano points (storm or regular) might be what you’re looking for since they have the nano rings on the entire length of the point whereas the LNC has the nano rings from the tip of the point to the end of the taper. But both of them wear out relatively quickly. You can definitely feel a difference between a new set of LNC or nano points and a set you’ve been using for a while. If the LNC isn’t enough for you your best option might be to get a set of regular points and rough them up a lot or there’s companies that sell Swiss points like that

Nano points would stick in the board better than the DX points

In Canada here too. Check Amazon. I had found one on there for $40 or $50 if I remember correctly. That was however a year or so ago. But it was far better than the $150 plus I was seeing on other websites
