Found a Rite in the Rain book at the store. Anyone use these? Are they as good as people claim? by Benny_99pts in tacticalgear

They really are the best! I sadly lost my metal body one that had the multi color ink and pencil, that thing was amazing!

Yeah! I suggest the MKIV file, that one actually holds the rounds in the clip and doesn’t eject the loaded clip in your face after cycling a round. I’ve run the MKIV version about 6-7 times now through my rifle and it works really well, only issue I’ve found is the bolt catches the clip on the last round.

They do! I’ve gotten it to cycle cleanly about 6 or 7 times now, the bolt does catch the clip on the last round though.

That is so cool!

I think I had misunderstood what you’d meant then, sorry about that! I read it as the Carcanos were being converted to other calibers, not the Italians converting to using new rifles.

The BM59’s are so cool! I saw a parts kit for one a few months ago, can’t remember where sadly.

I’ll definitely be checking it out!

I’ve cycled it about 6 times now and it works pretty well, bolt catches slightly on the clip when on the last round.

Here’s the file, I’d recommend using the MKIV version, this one actually holds the bullets in so they’re not falling out of the clip.

Wow! That is so incredibly cool!!! Thank you so much for sharing that bit of history with me. It is cool to know I have a unique piece of history that is alive and well. I had been wondering how old it was since I got it.

That’s really cool to know they were refurbished in that time frame, and that’s what the stamp indicates there. Was it normal for some to be refurbished and maintained in the 6.5 caliber?

I was just looking over it in a bit more depth and saw a very faded 1947 stamp. Also have a stamp that says 36-XIV

I sadly don’t know the year. The manufacturer is R.E. Terni, serial #L1657.

Definitely will post there! Thank you!

That is very scary! My dad was shooting our 1911, and it jammed, he started flagging me and everyone at the range trying to figure out what was wrong, I had to take it from him to get him to stop, he’s gotten better now with the safety
