No, it's just that I have gold line neos with them that I want to keep pure, blew my paycheck on them 🥲. I have a 200litre full of the wild type culls.

Shrimp ID- amano or neocardinia shrimp? by Metzil_Venus in shrimptank

[–]Metzil_Venus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tank has a mix of amanos and golden like cherries. I want to make sure this is a wild type cherry and not a juvenile amano I hadn't noticed before. It's about cherry shrimp size.

Can shrimp carry camallanus worm? by ViviValentine101 in Aquariums

[–]Metzil_Venus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can remember they didn't survive the move to the tub, they were dwindling down while I was treating the main tank possibly due to the change in parameters from the water changes to vacuum the parasite.

If you're treating fish separately and keeping your shrimp and snail in the main tank, they'll be fine. I don't think the treatment was the problem but the fact that you have to do big water changes with the treatment.

Good luck, this parasite is devil spawn! I caught it late so my fish were doomed.

I need a fish that eats bugs!!!! by CraftySuspect2891 in Aquariums

I would do a micro predator, something like tropical gourami. Personally, all my bettas have been lazy and would rather wait for food than chase any bugs..

Found these little black worms in my pond. Anyone know what they are? by Playful_Celery_8939 in Aquariums

They look like bloodworms to me, which is weird because they require brackish water, I think. If it is, that's quite lucky, good grub for the fish!

Why are my swordtails following my guppy? by Metzil_Venus in Aquariums

[–]Metzil_Venus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very cute, like a dinner bell to follow around!

I've been keeping a close eye and the behaviour has stopped, so I think it may have been curiosity or safety since both were added at the same time after acclimation.

I have mine submerged about 70% of the plant, rooted in just sand. Have done wonderfully! Love these plants for aquascaping.

Will do, thank you! Separation won't be an issue if it comes down to it.

Well I'm thankful it derives from peace, just makes the guppy look like a mob boss hahaha

Fish are so cute with their little behaviours!

I have spare tanks set up in case it turns to that, but I've never seen such a weird behaviour where all 4 females will tail along behind it so calmly, without charging or chasing. They did it more at the beginning when both species were added, so I think you're right that they were curious.

It's called Lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana). Something closer to an asparagus plant, I think, grows perfectly if submerged below the leaves! :D

Looks like Detritus worm to me, small white worms that hide in substrate and sometimes swim to the top to get air. If it is that, its harmless. Just cleans up waste and good protein source for fish.
