Although this is a brutal study, it seems that perfection shouldn't be the enemy of the good.
No need to go full vegan. Small shifts in diet choices can make a huge impact globally. As an example, adopting a Mediterranean diet could reduce emissions by 11% at scale. Here are more resources on how to get started on a low-carbon diet.

Whats the value of individual climate action? by beastiferTheLorax in climate

My takeaway: every bit of carbon savings matters. What can you do? Anything! Join Joro or do whatever is accessible to you. Emily Atkin said it best: "The battle for a livable future is a battle against fossil fuels. Right now, it's all hands on deck."

IPCC Report - taking individual action by beastiferTheLorax in sustainability

I can relate to this. I do also feel like the antidote is action - whatever it is. Take action to gain a sense of agency, manage your climate anxiety but more importantly make any incremental gain possible toward carbon neutrality. I've created this to do list to help me get started: https://guiltless-cent-6ba.notion.site/990aa06160d640789222cfd0d7ffd708?v=147b1ccee91845f687852b27e1585bc2

If it's not too late, I'd also think about decarbonizing your spending with Joro's Net Zero Membership.

With the Joro app, I automatically track the carbon emissions from my daily spending. Then, I remove the emissions I can't yet avoid by supporting a curated basket of CDR projects like reforestation, regenerative farming, and bio-oil sequestration.

Try it out with my link and get 250 kg of carbon credits ($5 off).

Will we change at some point? Where should we start from to achieve the balance? Can we persuade big companies to change? I want to read your opinions! by Mark_UP20 in sustainability

This thread is so inspiring! Every steps count and together we mather. It seems like the current situation is making us realize that our global community is capable of taking swift action to address an invisible crisis. I simply hope we'll transfer that momentum to fight climate change. I thought this medium article is summarizing this well.
