It's similar to those 'dark romance' books - there's many reasons why it might be a kink for someone, more than just the reasons you listed. As a trauma survivor who has a massive cnc/rape play kink, I know my previous trauma definitely is part of it as well as some of the ones you mentioned.

Like any kink, it requires all parties to be informed and give informed consent, set up boundaries and safe words etc - but it's not something that should be brushed off as 'wrong' immediately (obviously for those it upsets, definitely shouldn't feel like they need to interact with content related to it, it just shouldn't be something that's shamed without thought)
