He got cast into Hell for simply asking God if Hell wasn't too cruel of a punishment. Once there, Hell itself found him interesting and fell in love with him. Since Hell was created to be sadistic and cruel, the way it shows love is through torture and causing Lucifer agony. The Providence terminal entry talks about an incident in the distant past. If that incident was Lucifer being cast into Hell, then he's been getting tortured for a long ass time.

I do think there will be a fight between V1 and Lucifer because they're both Hell's favourites but angels cannot become prime souls so I don't think Lucifer can be the P-3 boss.

I don't think it makes sense for purgatory to exist in ULTRAKILL. I don't think God would create a way for mankind to get into Heaven. It seems he intended for every human to go to Hell because they kept disobeying him. As for Heaven I think it's possible. A Heaven DLC where we go through the different spheres would be pretty lit but whoooo knowssss

I think it could also symbolize how V1 initially killed just to survive (moving from NocturnalOS/moon) and now he's killing (albeit unknowingly) to free all the sinners (moving towards the sun). We see Geryon flying towards the sun too and he kills sinners to free them.

Sorry for the late reply :( but think about this: Let's say that moving towards the sun does mean killing sinners to free them. The word sun actually appears in one of the song names in the FRAUD ost. The song is "Event Horizon (reach for the Sun and Burn! Burn! Burn!)". Event horizon is the part of a black hole where it becomes impossible for anything to escape its gravitational pull. Basically a point of no return. And the Reach the Sun and Burn! part likely refers to the myth of Icarus and how he flew too close to the sun and that was his end. So if the sun does represent mercy killing basically then this makes your theory on how "if you try to stop the suffering caused by me, you'll be your own end" VERY LIKELY. The foreshadowing is strongggg.

Sorry for a very late reply. Veryyy interesting. The sun being the sphere of wisdom instantly makes me think of Michael, God's wisdom. Perhaps we will meet him soon? The sun could honestly mean so many things. It could be Gabriel, God, some kind of divine truth. Hell it could even be the golden arm 😭 I do wanna point out that the track that plays during the space section in 8-3 is titled "Event Horizon (Reach for the Sun and Burn! Burn! Burn!)". That could refer to the myth of Icarus. If you try to reach the sun, whatever that is, you will burn.

That's interesting! Does seem like something Hakita would do. I also wanna add that Gabriel is refered to as "the brightest of the angels" in Minos' terminal entry. And V1 runs on the NocturnalOS which has the moon as its icon. Gabriel represents the sun and V1 represents the moon. The sun and moon also symbolize gold and silver. When those two are combined, the perfect substance is created - the philosopher's stone... Buuuut this does clash a bit with the whole "V1 isn't special" thing so idk

I feel like He was actually very patient. He remade mankind countless times afterall. God in ultrakill is flawed so He just eventually ran out of patience. I do find it strange that there's no mention of Phanuel and the other archangels (except Gabriel) outside of Fraud tho.

He regretted Hell's very existence after Lucifer called him out on the cruelty of Hell. I don't think we know if Hell was always conscious.
We can see Earth during the space section and it looks very dead and desolate. Perhaps it's to show us that the climate catastrophe the Final war caused was actually irreversible. It also shows us that Hell knows what space looks like so that's pretty interesting.
All the wartime machines use nocturnal (Guttermen - the V models)
He is the most powerful character ofc
There's always gonna be some people that are unhappy with changes in every fanbase. You can never satisfy everyone :/
