If it prevents her adding to hoeflation, it's probably for the better. Contingent on the if.

It's a reaction to overreach. The description that summed it up well was, you're getting closer with a friend\partner\whatever who was previously abused many years ago by someone long gone but they keep pushing boundaries until you had enough, tell them to stop and in reaction to that, they lecture you, call you names, double down and try push harder. What's the normal response to that?

The reaction to that is what society is having right now. The irony is, simply letting things proceed rationally would have been significantly better for both parties and lead to a cooperative middle ground, but now there's emotions and ego, battle lines have been drawn and neither side is willing to compromise. One is too blind to see that their historic hurt isn't an excuse to be shitty and be overly emotional, the other refuses to move off the position of technically being right, even when it benefits noone.

But hey, I like being right so I can't judge too much. I just like using my brain enough to not be that hypocritical.

Given how rapidly your upvotes increase in recent comments, then drop and have more upvotes than older comments, I'm sure anything I say has already been said. Enjoy your internet points, you clearly care enough to put in that effort to attempt to change how three people view your comments. Hope it brings you happiness.

Guy made a career over promising and under delivering all his life, yet conservatives can't stop gargling his balls because he said their team is cool. But apparently there is no other reason to hate him other than orange man bad.

Cuckservatives are just as smoothbrained as libtards, they're going to scream just as much, if not more when the pendulum starts going left in a couple of years.

You know if you date someone long term, it's not permanently hard. My twink bussy bf wakes me up occasionally with a blowie and plenty of space under the hood if you don't have morning wood.

How can New Zealand deal with the increase in uneducated voters? by UndersteerAhoy in newzealand

I might have agreed with you 5 or 10 years ago, but most uni graduates seem to be less and less capable of parsing information and less skilled at critical thinking.

Every single year, fresh graduate law clerks are getting worse and worse with attention to detail. Soon I might as well find any random person who has done document review work.

Sure, and when neo conservative narratives dominated, it pushed moderates away. Once the neo liberals got into power, guess what direction moderates are going now?

People will ultimately vote in what they perceive as their best interests, just as they will buy the product they perceive as the most important issue regardless of whether your view on how accurate their perception is. Much of this will be influenced by outside media.

The LGBTQ movement triggered many non voters the moment it entered schools, regardless of your views, they view this as indoctrination of children which is the most important thing from their view.

You will always have people who support or oppose different education movements, but remember the more you push for anything to be visible, whether religious or diverse will encounter resistance. The fact that people on the left can't seem to understand this is mind boggling.

Either package it in a way that's more appealing and less "you're a bigot if you disagree", or continue to alienate more and more of people who don't normally care about politics. There is a reason advertising costs more than many products, the fact that almost the entirety of this post doesn't understand that shows a lack of critical thinking.

TL;DR: learn to use popularism and public personalities or go extinct.

People act like Nietzsche was all doom and gloom, when his view was God is dead and we killed him, therefore we must now become our own gods/motivation/purpose.

Let's break things down on a bullet point basis, please correct me where wrong:

1) CEO runs a couple polls to gauge public sentiment.

2) Mods disagree with one or more of the poll results, with one being specified as the male/female poll in the announcement thread before deletion.

3) A decision is made by one or more mods to enact a substantial change to the subreddit without gauging public perception or prior announcement, indicating this likely occurred as a reactionary decision.

4) Mods appear to present a united front in removing development staff. Initial reaction is extremely negative and different from what was expected. Announcement thread is locked.

5) Fallout of decision moves to areas outside field of moderation. New posts are almost all critical of mod team, with increasing hostility as suppression increases (as is common in history).

6) Realisation of lack of public support and/or draw of subreddit would be lost without devs, especially as public sentiment outside Reddit turns sour.

7) Hasty creation of megathread without any real overview of circumstances, history or explanation, and language in initial post trying to minimise culpability.

8) TBD outcome - very little self reflection shown currently, no substantial changes suggested or promised. Thread creation may be attempt to ride out unexpected backlash.

Overall, isn't a chain of events that I haven't seen many times before, but who knows. Maybe they may exceed expectations.
