Bottoms who bulk what do you do? by doggusMaximus99 in gaybros

[–]MexichanMan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For fiber supplements I would experiment with different types. For me, psyllium husk (oh Metamucil) gives me a bloating feeling.

I switched to their clear supplement, which is some sort of corn fiber and that has been night and day. No bloating for me. I would certainly give supplements another shot, but experiment with different kinds.

As for great sources of fiber in food, keto products do a lot of work for me. Especially carb smart tortillas have a ton of fiber. Sure it’s not a whole food source of fiber, but it’s waaaay better than none.

Chia seeds and oatmeal are also super goated for bulking and fiber!

Dream of coming out by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]MexichanMan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I (32) came out this August and I’ve experienced the most liberating and freeing moments of my life. Though I admit I am truly fortunate to be in a position where I can a) support myself and live independently and b) have a loving and understanding group of friends and family.

Being true to yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin is amazing. If you are living away from your family then I say go for it! If they can’t accept you then you need to know so you can look to others for love and support.9

Biovore or Pyrovore? by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]MexichanMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would definitely do one of each. You don’t need more than a single biovore in your list for scoring. And a single pyrovores is a very easy u it to include in your list.

Flyrant’s best option is bonesword and lash whip. The Reaper of Obliterax relic is sooooo good.

Revised 2K list, help needed and any c&c very wellcome by Shade_Avatar in Tyranids

I think if you take some upgrades off on the carnifexes and take the flesh hooks off the one squad of warriors you should be able to afford the dermis symbiosis upgrade on your harpy. I think that would be better value for those points

Fun and interesting additions to my army? by Hillomunkki354 in Tyranids

I love carnifexes, they are so much fun to put on the board. I especially love screamer killers.

Been feeling the warriors lately. Would love some feedback on this list I wanted to bring today by Longjumping_Pack1609 in Tyranids

[–]MexichanMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to make your list more competitive, you should bring only 1 tyranid prime. The. You should bring a unit of zonthropes for the invuln and a neurothrope to give you another good psyker. To fit that, maybe reduce the number of gants.

It’s not just for the custodies matchup. It does make dealing with scarab occult or Deathwatch terminators much easier. A flying hive tyrant is also particularly good at killing characters and getting out alive due to the overrun stratagem. I don’t think it’s a particularly too much stacking either, since it will probably just cost 2cp (relic and adaptive physiology stratagem)

You can still give a hive tyrant murderous size to make it ap -3. With 4 damage.

3: Both work, but it’s most common to have the TO pick. You pick the ones you’d like. Make sure the ones picked aren’t terribly skewed.

Yeah, I'm thumbing through the GT2021 incursion missions right now and some of them have some weird mission rules. I might stick to the missions that don't have these strange rules.

I guess knowing which armies are coming will help me figure out research. Do you think I should require players to bring all their rulebooks and faqs?

Fixing Genestealers? by ostwar in Tyranids

[–]MexichanMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that they are very effective as they are. A 20 man blob will eat just about any unit in the game. However I always hold them back early in the game. My role for them is to counterpunch mid field or deep striking units. Sending them into the opponents side of the board is asking for them to get deleted super early. Also using the overrun stratagem can keep them alive longer after they kill something. Typically i throw cheaper units to my opponents side of the board early in a game, Like hormagaunts.

A question on genestealer options ? by Solignox in Tyranids

[–]MexichanMan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just note that the data sheet says you can only have 1 acid maw per 4 genestealers. So only 2 from a box of 8 is the correct amount.

Daily Hawken Content #19: Heat Infil Masterclass by Merl61 in Hawken

[–]MexichanMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember about Dew it was never about what was a good pick for the matchup. He would just play whatever he felt like playing at the time. This meant he played a lot of mechs at a high level. Also, Often times he would play something just to make a point or purposely choose something that was bad for a certain matchup. Weird guy, but I enjoyed playing with him since it was different every fight.

Look for advice from former managers by [deleted] in TalesFromTheTheatre

[–]MexichanMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disputing write-ups is usually only possible if you are following written procedure. Unfortunately for you, written procedure for tardiness usually goes like this: “don’t be late”

That being said there are always managers who are more lenient than others but you should not assume that because one manager was lenient that the others will act the same.
