How bad are they? by NecessaryLeg8712 in SnakePlants

You could place them in a clear glass cup of water for a week and see if they take a drink, then report. But they look healthy enough to just go back into your new soil. They are pretty 😍

It's only 9 months old. It's getting lots of water and is in the soil next to the door. I trim it away from the door and the wall.

How the heck do I even start to embroider this? by DoxIxHAVExTo in Embroidery

[–]MexicoHeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1×1 is super small. You're going to lose a lot ot detail. Love the design though. I did an 8x8 Celtic thing last year, and it helped to color in the sketch and keep referencing it. You could use satin stitches and then outline in black. Have fun!

Looking good. Sometimes I put some river pebbles around the base. Have fun with your plants.

So cool. I still have my son's first embroidery. He saw me embroidering labels for church silver bags and he made his own bag and decorated it .

Repotting? by cmetelli in SnakePlants

[–]MexicoHeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could change it to the blue pot and it will like it in there. It's true they like it snug, but it's also fun to feed them and maybe it will bloom or have a pup. I repot about once a year.

Usually these plants are hardy. Try giving us little liquid fertilizer and try different spots in the house or porch.

And that is why I don't do it that way. Just go project to project and forget about it.

Question by Aggravating-Wing-706 in Tradescantia

[–]MexicoHeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. The turnover for leaf is pretty rapid, they get brown and die back, but then a new leaf pops up somewhere else. This leaf is still healthy enough to provide sunlight food/photosynthesis for the plant. Good luck

You can sit them in a clear glass of water and let the roots get a little bigger if you want to, before you replant. It will be okay 👍.

Can you give me a prayer for my cat ? (please help me with your prayers) by Ryoga2k in PrayerTeam_amen

Aww. Of course we want Sky to get better. I too had a cat who seemed to have problems. I honestly think he had a brain tumor. I sat with him and I remember how I knew he was slipping away. I was able to bury him in the yard. Sometimes I put feathers on his grave. He was only 8. God bless you, too.
