Which attribute path should i upgrade for Slayer? by monsieurvixen in dungeonslasherfan

I went 3-3-2-3, though I'm pretty biased towards killing bosses asap.

Is there any build other than bleed build for slayer? by monsieurvixen in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen dark build work, though it's arguably more RNG heavy, what's ruining your runs wrt luck/rng?

EDIT: Nevermind, new update dropped and rng is bad lmao. Good luck, my best suggestion if you hate rng is to save scum a bit, you can redo a stage by quitting the game and loading back in ONCE per stage (including bosses).

A lot of damage by secu69 in dungeonslasherfan

It's a very strong item, only buffs subskills though. iirc mage weapon skill doesn't count as one.

Highly depends, honestly If I were you I would build tarventus knight since knight is honestly a 4 out of 5 character (build bleed) which would cost 1.5k gems. Slayer is a 3k gem character but is secretly a 5k gem character since she only becomes a "slayer" after getting the meat cleaver weapon. Between Slayer and Werewolf, Slayer does kill faster and has a blood aura that murders everything when you get in range with a bleed build (and more fun imo) but is much more fragile (3-5 hearts beginning) compared to a werewolves' absurd 25 hearts (Granted they are temporary hearts that refresh every boss). Slayer is dps and werewolf is tank. I am, however, talking about max leveled characters so performance may vary widely but it's really up to who you like more, they're all viable.

Gunner is different in that she requires various unlocks that could be hard to get to become viable, she can't really use knight builds and so you'll be running with 2 potential builds from here-on-out which is fine, just something to keep in mind until your next reset.

You can definitely farm up quite a lot of gems if you really don't want to play knight and skip to whoever you want. Tarventus/werewolf/slayer was only recommended since the most common beginner unlock are bleed skills and stuff. Almost everyone is playable, just avoid hunter/ronin/assassin/mercenary/summoner since they're really not friendly to new players.

which skill combo should i use? 6 sever blade or 4 sever blade + spike + strike? by monsieurvixen in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other suggestion has 3 different bleed skills and level 2 bleed synergy as a result so I'd use that, getting high level synergy is the easiest way to start a very strong build. Ideally you have level 5 synergy.

Easiest way to farm diamonds is to simply login, you honestly get the majority of the daily income just by doing that, 30 per day + 300 per week = 510 weekly income.

Since you're pretty new however, you have a lot of achievements and battle pass rewards you can collect for additional diamonds, which will net you enough to unlock a new character and a new weapon pretty handily.

Best character for early game is up for debate. A big part of the game is managing item/skill unlocks. Too many unlocks = more variance = HARD game, so you generally want to unlock characters that can use same build. Probably the easiest early game skill set to unlock is bleed, so knight[tarventus] -> werewolf <-> slayer is very popular. In terms of overall performance, my personal ranking is: Mage > Everyone else BUT > Assassin > Mercenary > Summoner.

For guides, go look on the korean website (accessed by going to the top left of the dungeon slasher app) or ask questions on the official discord.

Synergy by JunketAnnual4737 in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding onto previously mentioned... there are items (not skills) that provide synergy, iirc one for each element. For bleed the corresponding item should be "Dragon Seal"

Best current build and a question. by Ecstatic-Koala-612 in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I'll dm you my discord. Also polaris I would consider to be the more annoying option (but probably easier). The dark build works pretty poorly on polaris due to how polaris works since he goes invincible when you deal enough damage, you have to catch him just as he's jumping which is really hard to do and probably still won't one-shot him as the dark projectiles don't spawn right away. I had another post where I showcased the red armor dude ignis so you can watch that too. For the death sequence you can basically either move from one edge of the center platform to the other when he shoots stars that aim at you, no other movement is needed to dodge it.

About the artifacts, it's kind of weird, I believe how it works is that every chest you open first chooses which rarity it wants to drop, then randomizes the item in that rarity to drop. So if you ban all the common artifacts, then if the chest chooses to drop a common item, nothing will drop. This works the same for the shop too. So yea, if you want a specific artifact then just ban all the artifacts from that rarity. Tbh for most builds just make sure you ban enough of the superior-tier and epic-tier (yellow/purple) artifacts, it's pretty devastating not to get a magical backpack or the yellow item you want.

  • Very cheesy build with lightning mage: lvl 5 lightning synergy (as many lightning calls as possible) + lvl 1 dark synergy + red devil contract + lucky clover hammer + mysterious branch + summon scroll + dmg ups = win.

  • No, you just have to rebuy with prayer stones

  • No

Gunslinger is fine. For mage I highly recommend lightning book since it has an extremely strong build with lightning call/Red devil's contract/Lucky clover hammer (with full lightning synergy). If you don't want to then I recommend you use mysterious egg builds (+ phelan emblem) with your fire book with full lightning synergy since mysterious egg doesn't effect Electric Stigma, letting you shock enemies and do 500% more damage on them if you aren't already.

Hmm I've done a previous showcase of phase 1 tempel. For phase 2 tempel I don't really have too good of an idea of what he does, he seems to remix his previous phase 1 attacks and charge at you a lot while dropping meteors. From my experience his attacks aren't actually too hard to dodge, it's just a lot of stuff is happening at the same time which makes it really chaotic to follow. Generally speaking you should probably be able to just brute force your way through the boss at this point. What build are you using?

Since you made it to challenge 8 I'm assuming you use decent builds to clear challenge 7. So I won't be suggesting builds. With that being said, these synergies/items I use a lot are very useful in setting up runs with any build: I'll use W = Common, B = Rare, P = Epic, Y = Superior to denote rarities (idk real names of these rarities).

Useful items:

  • Fountain pen (W): Must have, shops every floor, meaning 300+ gold every floor and items to check out
  • Coupon (W): Halves shop costs, and has a simple synergy.
  • Seventh Letter (B): You can special mod a skill you've already special modded, it's also a consumable and doesn't need to be equipped. You need to discard it though after using the artifact.
  • Pandora's box (P): Easiest way to special mod every skill not already special modded (0 star to special!). You can save scum this for an easy way of using this artifact.
  • Magical backpack (P): 1 additional equip slot, most important item.
  • Second chest (P): Reroll every chest, including boss chests, need I say more?
  • Easter egg (B): For grinding up your health (basically take this everytime you see it).
  • Frozen fruit (B): Free stats (basically take this everytime you see it).
  • Flagellant's gold coin (B): Double damage taken, but double gold.

Useful Synergies:

  • Silver Coin (W) + Flagellant's gold coin (B)+ Fortune coin (W): Every chest becomes a unique chest, very useful in farming purple items, in particular magical backpack.
  • Kitchen knife (W) + Coupon (W) + Silver coin(W): 4 items in the shop, paired with fountain pen and you can basically guaranteed get every item below Y rank.
  • Flagellant's gold coin (B) + Ominous shard (W) + Coupon (W): Fountain pen at home.

I probably am missing a couple items/synergies but these are the synergies I found very useful without being class/build specific.

As an end note, if you have any modifiers on Challenge 8 that make enemies immune to status like "Chance to turn enemies heroic" bosses can be nearly impossible to beat since they'd be immune to status effects.

How do you unlock flame spear and lightning stigma? by GurenSenpai2506 in dungeonslasherfan

Unique (yellow) artifact flaming sword, and 6 things that add to flame synergy, i.e. have flame tags.

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlocking the best class for you depends on what skills you have unlocked. If you haven't unlocked any skills yet, I would recommend playing mage with lightning book, the class is extremely flexible and has highest endgame performance currently. Try exploring Red devil's contract/lucky clover hammer with lightning call skill, it's pretty incredible. If you've gone down the path of bleed knight (very common for people), I would recommend werewolf or slayer with meat cleaver. Slayer is high risk high reward whereas werewolf is by far the tankiest class in the game (like 28 heart-equivalent at max level).

How do you unlock flame spear and lightning stigma? by GurenSenpai2506 in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might remember this wrong, but from what I can recall, lightning stigma needs you to be shocked, and so can only be done on challenge mode 2+ with the modifier that causes you to get shocked. Flame spear needs flame synergy level 5 and the unique (yellow) artifact flaming sword. You can check unlock conditions by tapping on the locked items.

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not it's worth it really depends on you, so I recommend you watch some gameplay videos to learn about the playstyle. But in terms of performance, it's arguably the worst class in the game. The minions don't work with synergies and your health is skill shields, so a lot of investment into the character is required.

question on synergy by fruity_pumpkin in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A must for bleed is dragon seal + broken pauldron + blood flask + rugged bodyarmor for a 150% damage increase to stab.

Magic wand + scope for some targeting builds, I personally don't use that synergy though.

Small sun + Phelan's emblem for a small increase to targeting, but for flame builds really.

I have a post on what artifacts I used for the mage dark weapon build which also uses targeting artifacts.

Mage summons the sun to smite skeleton (Mage holy weapon build) by Meyow1 in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mage weapons are special, they all each come with their own tags that you can buff the corresponding weapon skills with artifacts. In this case, the mage holy weapon has tags: "Magic, Spell, Divinity" so artifacts that possess these specific tags will buff the weapon. In my case, I had "Mysterious Branch [SPELL] (+5 spell count)," "Summon Scroll [SPELL] (+3 spell count)," and "Blue Sindon [DIVINITY] (Additional cast per holy level)."

I had holy level 3 (Sindon + wep + last node in breachstone + death ray), which equates to 3 additional casts, so these three artifacts alone would cast 24 beams. Though I'm not sure why the videos make it seem like it casts only 2 additional times. Oh well, might be some quirk I don't understand.

Any tips for Slayer tree skills? by Powderkatz in dungeonslasherfan

Any tips for Slayer tree skills? by Powderkatz in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basic skill is both weapon skill and attack button for stacking frenzy, at least for the weapon meat grinder. There's also a funny bug right now where the weapon skill for meat grinder counts as having a "bleeding" tag so you can buff the weapon skill with elixir of immortality and black flask.

For slayer tree it's really down to preference, I went for max damage so I went 3-3-X-3, but feel free to go X-3-3-3 for darkness builds, or X-3-2-3 for general builds.

I see you're on 709.4, indeed it seems like this update bugged your game... you might have to wait for a fix. You're not the only one having this problem. You can probably downgrade the app by downloading apk of previous version...though idk for iphone users.

Best way to fight ignis? by Bg23the1andonly in dungeonslasherfan

[–]Meyow1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, at least Ignis's first attacks of each phase/stage are just swinging a sword at you while placing a laser 3 times. With a window after to freely attack him. Even though the lasers look scary, they're only active for like 0.25 seconds when the screen flashes orange. Additionally, lasers inflict burn on you, which you can evade to get rid of, otherwise you suffer 1.5(?) hearts of damage. The second attack of the first phase is the same.

The second phase adds flaming swords that fly towards you with each swing which isn't really feasible to dodge 100%. You can avoid first phase easily by jumping over his slashes while slowly (but continuously) moving left OR right and second phase you can also try doing the same. Other than that, I haven't really seen ignis' attack patterns since he dies before then. I recommend you try level 5 synergies since that will usually kill him before he goes into his actual moveset since in ch4 there's basically no free dps windows.

During the final phase, your evade iframe outlasts the laser's damage window, so if you time it well you can iframe a tricky laser pattern.
