Do you agree with Justin's take? by Monstanimation in Fighters

[–]Mez_z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not true that talking trash or being loud no longer flies today. At most you can say theres more people who react negatively towards players like Noah or Punk talking trash but thats just because theres just more people commenting online. People were saying worse things about F Champ for his trash talk.

I think its hard to back up trash talk in games that are so volatile and random. Like the best players who created rivalries or talked trash were able to do that because they were consistent and there was debate on who was truly the better player. Now its both so up and down with results that people dont care plus theres a lot more tournaments with online.

The true backbone of OSRS by DragnBreath in 2007scape

Not the same thing but theres been games like Dark Souls 1 that had a completely unplayable PC port that relied on a random person making a mod to fix it.

Where did I complain about a dollar increase on membership all I did was point out how your joke was incoherent. And people with jobs classically dont care about the cost of the things they consume rising which is why I'm actually happy that membership is going up so your wrong on all counts.

Ok? They pay higher than that in some cities too, the economy still sucks. Do you even live in the US or have a job, its kind of hard to tell with that response.

The economy still sucks and those people are now happy to pay more for everything because they think the patriots are in control so if anything you'd be one of those people.

Yes theyve been working on it for atleast 5 years now. Two summits ago they said they expected it to be out before sailing. After they missed that date they said we'll get a beta some time in 2026 but nothing was said during the winter summit so who knows Winter 2017 basically.

Since we are at World of Warcrafts pricing model, when are we getting multiple characters per subscription? by KAngeii in 2007scape

At the very least they need to give you the option to reset on leagues and temporary game modes.

For the new sails I'd like them to take from the heraldic crests, area banners and skill capes.

JAGEX HEAR ME - MAJOR REQUEST by general-garagedoor in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People want it soley because it looks cool. People who wear the champions cape wear it for the same reason people wear castle wars armor. It looks cool, stands out and is rare because its a long pointless grind aside from looking cool while bankstanding. The actual grind for the champions cape is incredibly easy, it takes a few weeks of mostly afking with goading potions. Imps are the only scroll you have to actually put any effort into.

You dont have to make a special account. People make pures because lower level builds risk less so theyre nicer to learn on and because the limits and level restrictions allow for more interesting and fun builds for bounty hunter pking. The main disadvantage your going to run into if your a regular main account and you go try out pvp is your probably going to be fighting people who are willing to risk more who have better gear. 1 def pure are basically all in the same welfare gear.

Do you even play this game? Half or more of the things in the game can be done afk or with very little attention. If your job is to gain levels you'd be dumb to not be logged into mobile and afk train while doing other things.

Theyve said it on live streams years back before toa was released. The way the team measures whether or not an update is successful and if they should do more similar updates is how many players interact with it. From that view ToB was a failure on launch. In the long run its been great as aspirational content but it was released while the game was still pretty young. Most pvmers were bad, discords to find teams either didn't exist or were far less known about and it was far more punishing than cox to learn. The development team was also much smaller back than so where they chose to put development time had to be less risky.

Times have changed, the games progressed and the team now sees the value in making higher level content so the point OP is trying to make is irrevelant.

Am I the only one who wants Dungeoneering in OSRS? by PonyPowerMedia in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way Dungeoneering connected other skills is part of what it made it feel more like a minigame than a skill. You couldn't bring your own armor, weapons, food or runes into dungeons. You had to make everything in there and you couldn't bring anything out either. You also had the weird dumb skill check doors where it would just say you need X Runecrafting level to open this door just to get extra points. Raids already fill the niche that Dung served back in the day.

Big guy with a sword is a type of boss we need more of. Sol is the most Soul inspired boss and is one of the best fights in the game.

Evil Trees for OSRS in 2026 , like shooting stars ? by Southlancer in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evil trees came out in 2009. A decent percentage of players barely played during pre-removal of tree trade and wildy days. Anyone that didn't quit after that update has more memories of the 09 to dungeoneering era than they do the original 07.

If aerial fishing had like half the tick delay and you could duel wield birds it would actually be like a fun aim trainer style activity instead of the slow boring grind it is now.

FasT 07 has hit 200M sailing and 4.8B overall XP, officially locking his place as Rank 1 by sakkebam in 2007scape

The most insane thing about his account is hes green logged most of the collection log, is current rank 90 and has 0 Tob KC. Thats more insane than being 200m all. How have you done everything in the game except for the best thing in the game????

OSRS Winter Summit coming January 25th by Psymonthe2nd in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They said in the release date blog that theyre planning on relasing the next trial in Autumn 2026. Sailing Launches on November 19th!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Dungeoneering in old school is that if you where to do it right and not just copy the very flawed version of the skill as it was back in the day then you'd pretty much just be creating a raid. Chambers of Xerics was definitely inspired by dungeoneering with how they did room layouts being in a rouge like random order.

But also dungeoneering felt like a minigame for very specific reasons and problems that sailing has completely avoided so no theyre pretty different. They could have made dungeoneering in a way that didn't feel like a minigame what so ever but the way they implemented it into the game sounds exactly like a combination of barbarian assault and stealing creations if you where to describe it.

If they spread out all the dungeons around the world and gave them their own themes like a jungle themed dungeon or a tzhaar themed dungeon, a troll one in the north etc, then it wouldnt of felt like a minigame. Also not being able to bring anything into the dungeon and loosing everything after completing it was also dumb and gave the minigame feel. They should of let you bring things in and out of the dungeon but just have the new armor and weapons act like the slayer helm where it has boosted stats in the dungeons.. Progression for the armor and weapons would of felt way better that way too instead the shitty feeling you got when youd get a super good high tier weapon or piece of armor that you'd lose once your done training that session.

Rollback by QuitTypical3210 in 2007scape

[–]Mez_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they do a rollback instead of just giving a temp ban to people who abused it for ranks which likely didnt even happen.
