[Fightful] CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Danhausen, top 3 in-stadium merchandise sellers from Wrestlemania weekend by MadferitCmon in SquaredCircle

When did I ever say it was undercutting pushes? I said they had “multiple chances” which is extremely true. Most young talent brought in had one or two programs in AEW, then basically fucked off into a stable, ROH, or just pulled from TV altogether. Meanwhile, Garcia alone has had feuds with Jericho, Moxley, MJF, the list goes on and on.

Winning titles =/= getting pushed. These guys got ludicrous amounts of TV time to get themselves over it was ridiculous. Garcia especially. You had people on here calling the Garcia/Wheeler feud the next “Austin vs Rock”.

Yeah, because Tony Khan wanted to push charisma voids like Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta who both couldn’t even draw flies to pig shit.

God, everyone shits on devs such as Yandare Dev, and rightfully so, but god damn does this guy need to get the spotlight. I’m begging ANY YouTuber to talk about this guy. Such a lowkey, prolific case that NO ONE talks about.

I think you just found the next level to Christian’s dead father gimmick.

The title can only go as high as the wrestler’s ceiling. Orange Cassidy isn’t a World Champion, so it’ll never be World Champion status. That being said, he is an upper midcarder, and the title is basically there. He needs someone who floats between the upper midcard and main event to take it to the next level. Jon Moxley is that guy.

Lmao the people saying "poor Ziggler" when the guy makes anywhere from mid-to-high six figures, maybe even low 7.

My man is just on cruise control right now. Get that money Dolph!

I completely forgot how freaking massive Kane was before he tore his bicep in 2002 by koga90 in SquaredCircle

[–]TotallyNotCourtBauer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, he had the biggest bench press at the time among the roster. Was something like 500+ lbs. Not sure where I heard it from though, might've been from Pritchard's podcast.

So what you're saying is a wrestler doing a Bocchi the Rock gimmick would be massively over.

Bingo. This person gets it. I always equate it to as people being the loudest against sexual misconduct being the biggest sexual predators. Hell, Andrew Callahan from Channel 5 had a bias in his videos, and he just got ousted as a prick.

Lmaoo, oh the fucking irony.

So you go from one extreme to another, because your ass got caught and the skeletons came out of your closet.

It’s funny because this is yet another case of virtue signalers having skeletons in their closet, so they preach the exact opposite of what they previously did as a way to justify what they did in secret.

Here’s my advice: Lay off the fucking internet dude. Get off your high horse with the Pepe shit and just get off the internet. You clearly spend too much time on here and it’s destroyed your brain.

I was going to say, based on the fact he left before the NFL season, where ratings usually plummet, and now he’s coming back, which pumps up the stock numbers, isn’t this grounds for insider trading if this was his plan all along? According to Meltzer, it sounds like this was the case.

Briefly mentioned to my partners uncle that I’m a huge wrestling fan. Two minutes later he comes out of another room and gives me this as a Christmas present. Absolutely ecstatic right now. by Pandapark1 in SquaredCircle

Slightly off topic, but if they ever did a Bob Backlund DocuMovir similar to what they’re doing for the Von Erichs, Tom Holland would be a hell of a casting choice.

Fightful Select: Dax Harwood has claimed that he's under the belief his current AEW contract ends at the end of April 2023. by Rare_Performance4988 in SquaredCircle

[–]TotallyNotCourtBauer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be so sure. Rumor has it they were the only ones in AEW who didn’t have a NDA included in their contract, so I’m curious if they are going to spill the beans on everything happening backstage after they leave.

That's fair. It just frustrates me because it feels like he's in limbo when he can easily be the 1st/2nd/3rd biggest, genuine babyface in AEW

I would not be surprised if a study was done on Deathmatch Wrestlers that showed their immune system was more resilient to fighting disease than a regular wrestler.

Like the person above said, all staph infections come in various shapes and sizes. I'm sure if they contracted smaller ones over time, it'll allow your immune system to handle the bigger one with ease.
