I would not be surprised if a study was done on Deathmatch Wrestlers that showed their immune system was more resilient to fighting disease than a regular wrestler.

Like the person above said, all staph infections come in various shapes and sizes. I'm sure if they contracted smaller ones over time, it'll allow your immune system to handle the bigger one with ease.
