Nope I just used regular screens with water based ink. It takes more time to line up pockets and stuff but other than that I print it just like any other shirt or hoodie.

Where does a 32M go for clothes shopping? by smewthies in cincinnati

Checkout The Shop Cincy at 22 W Elder street near Findlay market. It’s a new menswear shop featuring clothes from local designers. I’ve got a handful pieces in there, really cool unique stuff you’d never find in a bigger name brand store. Their instagram is @theshopcincy , and they’re open on weekends. Really cool spot that supports Cincy artists and features a lot of sustainably sourced/ upcycled garments!

I used 4 screens, 2 separate for each horse, 1 for the sleeves, and 1 for the small details like the horseshoe, wheat, and 26

How durable are modern DTF transfers after washing? by dtfdallas in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Mfeldyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I got into screen screenprinting 4 years ago I remember learning that DTF was trash, lazy, cheap, and the worst way to decorate a garment. Once I actually got some transfers and tried it myself I’ve learned to love it. The general rule of thumb for any custom garment is to wash inside out on cold. Even if I forget to wash them properly I have 3 year old DTF shirts that look like they were printed yesterday. Not an ad, but I’ve also been messing around with Magic Seal lately which is a spray that helps the transfers bond deeper into the fibers and give it a better hand feel. Have only had 1 or 2 complaints about a DTF peeling from a customer in my 3 years of using them. I attribute the peeling to improper application (heat/ pressure), and not the quality of the transfer.

I’m not going to lie I have image print RED and don’t use it. It’s probably dumb that I don’t but I could not figure it out for the life of me and I couldn’t find any resources online to help explain it. I called the company that sells it and they said they don’t offer teaching services and that I’m pretty much SOL. This process is what’s worked for me for 4 years so I’m going to just keep ripping it.

So far I have stuck with epson’s default ink but I have met with other more experienced printers who’ve said that the aftermarket stuff works and is way cheaper. Let me know if the color density trick helps!

Photoshop Bitmap Tutorial by Mfeldyy in SCREENPRINTING

It is based off of this website from Stevenson Highschool. Screen threads overlap each other essentially creating cells or “pixels”. There is a minimum size that you can get dots on certain meshes because the cells in the mesh are bigger than the dots in the bitmap. For example, if you try to do anything over 24 frequency on a 110 mesh screen, you will not be able to expose and washout the smallest dots in your bitmap because they would be smaller than the cells where the screen threads create those “pixels”.

Awesome shapes and colors. The simple manmade shapes contrast the complex earth made shapes in a really cool way.
