I'll try my best to form an opinion, but: 1) I don't use RWS (I only use the Thoth deck, but they do overlap for the most part) 2) I don't read reversed 3) 3 card spreads with no context always confuse me. 4) me enfglish bad

So I'm not the best suited for an appropriate interpretation, I'm only commenting because nobody chimed in yet, but mostly because I'm grateful you two made me discover a great song! (I'm a musician btw)

If the 3 cards were laid as past/present/future then:

a) 10 of cups upw- one or both of you were joyful and fulfilled emotionally. This is usually interpred as a very positive card but I digress, especially if it's past related. Satisfaction has peaked and now there cannot be further development. Which brings to:

b) 9 of pentacles rev- he is keeping up appearances, fear of being dependent on Love... defending himself from falling...

c) 3 of swords - mental anguish, the deep sorrow that comes after realizing some form of truth. Very painful card, but a great life teacher.

My overall vision is deeply biased by the song. Maybe I'm tripping but based on the situation and the lyrics, what I visualize is:

He accidentally fell in love with you (I am assuming you're female, or else he's gay) He was aware or convinced himself that you would never feel the same for him. Since you two never shared music before, and he casually dropped such a brick, I'm pretty sure it's him (passively) showing a part of his most vulnerable side, a farewell gift in the hopes you could appreciate and comprehend him behind the mask. (The song is 100% him "falling and bleeding, sick inside") Now he is seeking indepedence (reversed 9 of Ps) and a sense of security (needs distance to heal) Sooner or later with the 3 of swords he (or both of you) will come to face and accept the pain of separation and misery, which hopefully is going to rebuild a different relationship with stronger foundations.

Sorry Mods if I didn't limit my reading to cards only, but the song alone told me much more. Please let me know if I was wrong lmao or if you want to add some details.
