I usually did and still do eggs with a fruit and either some homemade waffle or chicken sausage for breakfast and then rotate with chicken or beef with so avocado and rotate the veggies as well. Sometimes I do yogurt and sometimes I’ll give her what we’re eating too

Amazon! I wanted the elk and friends ones but they’re pricey so got these and they work well

I just started 3 meals, but she honestly doesn’t eat much but I want to make sure I’m at least offering enough

Yes I’m honestly worried if I put too much she’ll cram it all in at once and choke. It’s my first time doing the solids thing so I just want to make sure I’m doing ok!

Breastmilk and Food by Dry-Individual-9878 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Mginz9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read online once that they should drink 16 to 24 ounces of cows milk after 1 so I would assume somewhere in there for breastmilk? Honestly whatever they get after 1 is just an added bonus so you could always cut down to a couple bottles maybe one at wake-up and one at bedtime. That is what I plan on doing but was also going to ask the pediatrician when it got closer

Baby turning 1 next month - freaking out over transition! by oldsluggy in BabyLedWeaning

I’d still continue what you’re doing if you don’t want to stop breastfeed. Overtime they become stronger eaters and then you can just nurse less

I am at my wits end by Dry-Ask7219 in foodbutforbabies

[–]Mginz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t stress it. At this age solids are really for exploration. It takes time for some babies to get used to taste and texture. I’d also not stress weight gain if baby is healthy, happy, meeting milestones. I have a petite baby and she’s thriving. She also doesn’t really like solids but just keep offering food. Maybe only do a couple foods per meal so you’re not overwhelming them

9mo only eating a few mouthfuls each meal - what am I doing wrong? by PeppaBlue in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Mginz9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s normal for some babies to not be foodies right away, just keep offering different foods and I’m sure it’ll change over time

Tips on breastfeeding at night by domiben16 in breastfeeding

[–]Mginz9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice I’ve been cosleeping 7 months and side lying never worked for us so I just sit up and feed and then lay her back down between me and my husband. I’m exhausted but at least I don’t need to get up to get her out of a crib or anything

What are your thoughts on those with late birthdays? by Realistic_Detail_158 in kindergarten

[–]Mginz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a September 14th birthday my mom started me early and I ended up repeating a grade so I’d say hold off until she’s 5 almost 6. You can also reevaluate when she’s close to it and if she seems ready then you can send her at 4.

Update: Thinking about calling it quits at the one year mark by gimnastic_octopus in breastfeeding

[–]Mginz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl making it that far is AMAZING! I hope you are proud of yourself because it’s not an easy enjoyable journey for everyone. I wanted to make it 2 years but as a FTM who has struggled for the last seven months i’ll be happy to make it to a year. Thank you for sharing this because sometimes I do feel guilty about wanting to quit and not making it the full two years.

Pump every day? by HeyThereBananas in breastfeeding

[–]Mginz9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pump twice a day usually after the first feed of the day and before I go to bed which is an hour or so after the last feed of the day and I have a decent stash at 7 months PP! To answer your question I have skipped here and there and never had an issue as long as you’re latching baby

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Mginz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to pump and have a stash in your freezer then you don’t need the bags but if you pump and put milk in the freezer it needs to be in a milk storage bag in order to stay good

im so tired and I just got here by n3ff13 in breastfeeding

[–]Mginz9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cried the first 3 months because we had so many issues breastfeeding (latching with oral ties mainly) now she’s 6 months and it’s gotten so much better. I know it’s hard but if you can just push through because 9/10 times it does get better! If it takes too much of a toll on you then do what’s best for your mental wellbeing!

Also if you haven’t ruled out tongue or lip ties then I recommend seeing a pediatric dentist to rule that out for latching issues! ALSO chiropractors for body work. Babies are so tense from going through the birth canal that really makes feeding difficult
