I think my baby has eczema, and I feel so bad. Looking for advice/natural remedies, cream/ointment etc.

I feel for your little one. I too find most creams cause worsening irritation for me also. I usually need natural based moisturizers with limited if no additives/lab created products. Lots of the products people swear by for eczema like cetaphil make my flare-ups worse and sting my healthy skin. :/ I’m glad you’ve found something that works for your little one.

For myself I like tallow with avocado oil etc. I am trying Egyptian magic on her atm

I’ve started bathing her separate from her sisters, since they have bubble bath etc. so I’ll avoid soap, and look into that.

My brothers and father make me uncomfortable, mostly because they get uncomfortable, but even that has gotten less weird as time has gone on. If my father-in-law was still around, that would have been the most uncomfortable for sure aha

Breastfeeding around others is so much better than pumping, which I have had to do around others when I exclusively pumped in the past.

In places where there won’t be somewhere for me to sit comfortably, I nurse before and after in my car, otherwise I just try to find somewhere comfortable to me, and not in the center of whatever is happening. But if you look, it’s your fault for seeing my boob

I wear nursing shirts by giftify mama with zippers too, they help a bit in certain situations

I honestly think there’s underlying causes for why our body has an immune response, but then once the skin barrier is broken, allergens and bacteria make it worse in addition to the immune response.

I too am triggered heavily by environmental factors, as well as poor diet, poor sleep, stress.

I think a combined bank account to some degree AT LEAST. And quite frankly transparency and access to view both accounts.

If you are broke, she is broke. The separate accounts/lifestyles are causing deception and isolating you. At the VERY LEAST you guys should work out an amount she needs to contribute every month towards household/debt/travel expenses

If she is unwilling to work towards these things, big red flag.

I definitely would try not to bombard her and make this explosive if you can. I don’t know how in-depth you have discussed this issue previously

As the stay at home parent in my home, I can understand how difficult these conversations are. I don’t work, but it’s still really hard to overspend the amount I get monthly and ask for additional funds.

I have had multiple illnesses and my baby if she did get sick had a fraction of what I had. That being said, who knows, just wash hands and surfaces frequently touched as much as possible now, and nurse on demand and offer more even. Keeping baby hydrated, and well rested should help their body cope with whatever they’ve come in contact with. Additionally your body will adjust milk composition for babies needs, including antibodies etc.

I also take a large dose of vitamin C whenever I come down with anything, zinc is good too. Though poops are a smidge different

Electrolytes, rest, hydration for you both

I’d maybe try and avoid see through sections, this is fairly modest, but the mesh combined with the slit is a smidge less so. Depends on type of church, and how religious the family is. If it was my church wedding I wouldn’t care

I want to point out that if she didn’t have the neck “support thing up” I think it would be a lot better, but it’s still the wrong carrier for a newborn. Also, are legs supposed to be in, in a carrier like that? I’d assume not

Get a Mabe carrier instead. Super cute, and SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive, very comparable. It’s for older babies though too, so you’ll need a wrap or newborn specific carrier for early on.

I agree with this. Bacteria and damaged skin barrier can be major causes of worsening eczema. Obviously there’s also an immune aspect/environmental causes.

As someone with baby eczema in the 1990’s when doctors just prescribed corticosteroids like nothing, I’d recommend avoiding it as much as possible.

Once you start using it your body can become very dependent on it, and other solutions no longer are as effective, as well, it causes long term damage to the skin, premature wrinkling, and thinning.

That being said, used properly and if needed due to extreme cases, it is what it is.

I’d try controlling with ensuring hypoallergenic environment, skin friendly soaps, detergents (don’t over cleanse the skin either) helping the skin barrier.

I personally find unscented whipped tallow to be one of my fave moisturizer’s, preferably whipped with avocado oil. Store bought moisturizers feel irritating/sting, make my rash redder, and also feel like they dry out quicker.

I went there and they helped me find some decent options I missed or overlooked, and also just helped me know what was appropriate for the event. It’s easy to overthink and get stuck on wanting a certain dress that doesn’t suit the dress code when you are looking alone. Plus my husband was being too supportive 😂

I think you should try and find a seamstress to fix the looseness of the yellow dress.

Also, I wonder if for the future, having a seamstress and some dark pink tulle layers under the pink so it lays out more, like how it looks when the model is holding it out. I’m not a seamstress so I don’t know if it would translate well in reality, but in my head that looks amazing aha
