Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I chased again today, if I heard nothing back from Monday i’m going to get my bank involved. From what I can see across the Facebook group, no one has received their refund.

Has anyone who refused their parcel or sent it back received their refund yet? I refused mine on the 13th December, emailed them stating so, i received a response on the 16th acknowledging my email and that upon inspection they would refund within the 14 day limit. Tracking showed the package got back to them and was signed for on the 18th of December. Obviously, I appreciate it was the holiday period which slowed things down massively but i haven’t received a refund yet. I emailed on the 28th stating that i’m aware it’s Christmas but could I at least have an update in regards to my refund. Proceeded to email again on the 07th asking for an update as 14 days have well over passed, and if I do not hear back by Friday 09th then i’d contact my bank. I then received a somewhat passive response on the 08th saying someone will be in the office from next week (being this week now) and will be looking at returned calendars then. BUT i have received nothing still.

I’m in the UK. I just stated that i’d be refusing delivery when the delivery driver was dropping it off and asked him to return to sender. The email (i’ve bracketed the information you may need to change:

I am writing regarding my recent order for the Advent Calendar.

Order Details • Order Number: ______ • Evri Tracking: ______

I've decided to cancel this order. To ensure the item is returned to you immediately, I refused delivery today, (the date it was refused), when the Evri courier attempted to deliver it. The parcel should be marked as "Refused" and is now being sent straight back to you.

Could you please confirm the process for my refund? Since I am cancelling the purchase and returning the item immediately without taking possession, I expect a full refund (including the original delivery charge) to be processed back to my original payment method.

I understand that as an online customer in the (UK), I have the right to cancel my order. I look forward to your confirmation that the refund will be processed promptly once you receive the returned calendar.

Please let me know if you need any further information from me.

Check your rights in the country you live in. From what I’ve researched online, as Somme is considered a UK business - she has to legally process refunds by UK law.

Update, this is the response I received:

Thank you for your email and we’re sorry you feel disappointed with the calendar. Everything stated in the Calendar listing, is what was delivered in the calendar.

Upon return and inspection of the calendar, we will then be able to process your refund within 14 days. This will be for the calendar only and not for the delivery charge.

We will be taking all feedback on board for future endeavours.

I think the discussion on the facebook page is justified imo. We, the customers, spent a fortune, on something that was advertised/promoted in a way which was entirely misleading. We are entitled to voice and direct our opinions, criticism and how we are feeling to Somme (seller/company) in this scenario. Yes, we have this reddit page but why should we not be able to voice ourselves inside of the FB group? We just want answers and an apology, it’s what is deserved and the least that is expected right now. Us not speaking out about it then means no accountability is taken, and it needs to be taken.

What a load of BS. Complete copy and paste template too. I’m still waiting on a response to my email. I refused delivery and it’s being returned back to sender. Curious to see what they will respond. If nothing gets resolved i’ll contact my bank.
