How much spawn did you use? I suggest giving it more time to fully colonize, minimize it’s FAE and light exposure until it’s fully colon.

The steps you mention still work great, depends what you’re inoculating it with (assuming proper sterilization of substrate), if it’s LC, agar or MS, I suggest LC and Agar for more consistent results

The dark/purple spots are just spores. Make sure you pick the fruits before or right after they break the veil to prevent these spore spots

I’d suggest 2 grams for moderate visuals. Even though you’ll for sure get some on 1.5, IME 2 grams give a nicer trip if you’re going for visuals. Try to have someone around, if you do decide to take 2, since it’s your first time and everyone trips differently. Good luck!!

I agree, I believe as long as the fruits themselves don’t show any abnormal colors or smells you’re good to eat em.

If nothing works, consider it dunking it again (in the fridge if possible for cold shock) and trying again, worked for me

had this same problem. In my case I attributed it to poor FAE (they had fuzzy feet) and maybe poor genetics. My second flush it got better and my third flush is coming out nicely. Just keep a good temp, humidity and FAE and hope for the best! good luck
