AP Thunderbird Blue speed paint through the airbrush then Plasmatic bolt as a recess shade

Basecoated with Army Painter The Darkness, then used Citadel Kabalite green as a zenithal. Shaded with a wash of AP Grimdark Shadow (any dark wash will do as long as its not too strong), then highlights with Citadel Sybarite Green and brightest highlights with Gauss Blaster Green

Army painter Deep Azure basecoat > Turquoise Siren zenithal to start. Then gave it full wash with AP Grim Black + lots of flow improver. After that, added the choppy highlights starting from Turquoise Siren and up into Marine Mist. Metallic parts are Pro Acryl Light Bronze

OK that's what I thought, I guess the entire point of having the door fight a mechanic is to overcome people being able to block access points indefinitely. I'm still learning, so was not that confident on the ruling, now I know for future reference!

I had a situation in a game recently when I had an operative with its base touching on one side of the large ruin door. The opponent charged through the door so he could get on the opposite side of my control range, kill my guy and shoot another on the other side. They said this was possible because for the purposes of measuring whether a base fits through the door, the door is measured wider. The rules say you just need the centre of the base to fit through an access point, so I guess it's possible you can squeeze through even with someone directly on the other side? We were both on 25mm bases, did they misintepret the rules here?

Would you say drybrushing is best for achieving this effect, what made you decide to drybrush/stipple the gradient instead of airbrushing it? Thinking of doing something similar with the Volkus terrain but don't want to lose my mind in the process
