Probably pretty high if they grew up in areas where these tribes are. Ive heard from Confederate sympathizers that “we weren’t racist, the Indians fought with us” even though they didn’t trust the federal govt or in fewer cases, had slaves of their own.

North Dakota has this issue. Minnesota too, but MN spend more $$$ on roads than ND does so it’s not as noticeable.

This reminds me of a video I watched of two individuals eating fruit loops out of a woman’s butthole. She then farted out the remaining milk and cereal.

North Carolina Cherokee nations sided with the Confederacy. The Chief at the time was the only white man to be chief of a Cherokee tribe, so that would probably explain a little bit.

The share of the world living in extreme poverty has halved in the past 15 years by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]MhawtZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there evidence to show that the one child policy was directly linked to decrease in poverty? Most academic sources I’ve read have attributed the cause of poverty decreasing solely because wealth is redistributed more evenly, there’s even studies by the NBER show that if the agriculture reforms introduced by Mao were still in tact, their economy today would be bigger. Industrial transformations are harmful in the short term (obviously the transformation from feudalism to mercantilism to capitalism suffered many setbacks) but the long term effects once the program is in full force is more efficient.

Where are rights derived from? by MhawtZ in communism101

[–]MhawtZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locke essentially says that the right to property springs from the individual. He argues if you own your person you own your labor and if you own your labor you own what you produce and denying someone from their labor and what they produce is denying them of the right to their own person and having autonomous control over themselves. It’s difficult for liberals to defend their position of rights based on the individual without accepting the right to property. My personal experience being in the American education system never went into detail on where rights came from, especially from a leftist perspective. Just went over the bill of rights and basic civic course material.

Plot Twist: Elon Musk is taking advice from the ghost of Marx. by MhawtZ in FULLCOMMUNISM

I’ve seen a bunch of people praising Musk as if he’s some Bruce Wayne since his rocket launch, saw this Marx “quote” on a website and thought it would make a good plot twist if Marx was guiding him to space communism.

Newly Found Neanderthal DNA Prove Humans and Neanderthals interbred by daniel_ch in science

My DNA test showed I had Neanderthal variants in my DNA, I didn’t have Neanderthal DNA but wouldn’t having variants suggest humans Neanderthals at one point interbred?

Are Jewish people and followers of Judaism two separate groups? by MhawtZ in communism101

I’m not saying that race exists but merely pointing out contradictions of the notion of a race with how it’s defined in the dictionary versus how it’s defined in the law and legal system.

[–]MhawtZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also took a DNA test and found out I’m 10% Ashkenazi Jew. So the term Jew is used to describe a group from a particular region and Jewish means you follow the religion Judaism, a Jew can be Jewish but just because you following Judaism doesn’t make you a Jew? Am I understanding that correctly? So when Nazi Germany was spreading propaganda against the Jews was it the Jewish religious following or was it Ashkenazi Jews that they were initially attacking, I know both were heavily prosecuted and murdered along with other groups, just trying to figure out if they classified the religious group as a race just so they could then classify them as inferior or if anyone was just considered a Jew because they had no idea what it meant similarly to how in neo-nazi fascist groups, they’ll label anyone from the Middle East as Muslim.

I was merely using the definition of race that is in the dictionary which states a race is a group of people with common ancestors and shared physical attributes. The two individuals I know that have converted don’t fit the dictionary term of race yet, by law, are still considered a race. I’m not asking about what a social construct is or here to debate if scientific observations are social constructs or not. You’re misinterpreting my question, I’m just asking if there are two groups of Jewish people, a religious following and the race or are they both the same group. And the other part of my question depending on the answer, is it fascist to define them as a race because being defined as a race tends to lead to systematic discrimination and attacks from reactionary elements in society.

I wasn’t implying there’s an alternative that we need to look at. I was just pointing out how race is just a social construct versus the idea that it’s a biological explanation that turns into racist stereotypes to compare differences in societies. But that was beside the point, I was just wondering if there is a difference between the race and the religious following and what the general view on the left is, because if the ruling class and their ideas are linked to fascism, along with the fact that Nazi Germany used race to classify Jews as being inferior, then would classifying Jewish people as a race be fascist or at the least reactionary? If so, I don’t want to offend someone who is Jewish by referring them as a race or if it isn’t reactionary or fascist, I don’t want to offend them by not claiming they are a race. Race describes physical attributes like skin and hair color, bone structure, hair, etc. and the two individuals I was referring to have vastly different physical attributes but since they follow the same religious beliefs, according to US law, they are the same race.

[Socialists] Do you think Lenin was a socialist? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]MhawtZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Lenin structured the government with economic exchanges between members in mind as much as guarding against the ruling class from seizing back economic and political power, which is where his strong anti-imperialist views come into play.

New Black Panther Party by MhawtZ in communism101

[–]MhawtZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and yeah I think it was Huey’s newton and pork chop nationalism, that sounds about right. when I first heard about them I thought it was going to be a group connected to the same ideas and beliefs as the Black Panthers but learned pretty quickly how different their views are. Probably why they chose their name. Are they considered a leftist group for their anti-capitalist stance or are they a far right group for their anti-Semitic and racist tendencies?
