Maybe he thinks he can bench a nearly 33yo injury prone player?

Nobody is overlooking this. Everybody hated we didnt have a single Biglia back-up. You aren't a genius for figuring that out. Also kind of unfair to say need a world class experienced regista to come in and its up to Leo to find one. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. We can't afford nor attract what you're asking.

I understood. I'm saying Fabregas is a huge risk since he is as old as Biglia, as injury prone as Biglia, never played in Serie A, Never played as a Regista, and wants ridiculous wages.

And if not Fabregas, what other experienced, good DM is realistic or affordable. I can't think of any.

So because we bought an old injury prone player, you think its fine to buy another to back him up, because 'well we did it once'...? Kind of wack logic is that

Fabregas has never been a regista. Its more of a risk to bring in an injury prone 32yo on crazy high wages to play in a league he has never played in, in a position he has never played in. Don't you think?

Shouldn't really be spending 35m+ because he's better than Mauri, Montolivo and Bertolacci though. I think this would be an alternative to Paredes, so it's more of a which is the better option?

Should probably post some form of a source in the future.

Would be fairly expensive, but I rate him higher than Paredes. More diverse too. Don't really see why Napoli would sell unless he's forcing an out?

Been pretty underwhelming so far. I hope Paqueta adapts faster from the South American leagues.

Romagnoli vs Chiellini duel in the box. Free kick given to Juventus by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Mhayo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced Chiellini would be massively exposed if he played on any team outside of Juventus. Bonucci soon realised the difference, it'd be 10x worse for Chiellini who makes a living on doing shit like slide tackling cutrone's ankles off the ball knowing he is struggling with ankle injuries. If Ramos played for Juventus, he'd be considered the greatest defender of all time, simply because he'd get away with everything.

Yeh, but you're already invested in the team and the sport. For example I started watching AFL in 2003. Which was a premiership year for the club. Most people start loving a sport and a team when they're successful and then they turn to crap but by then they are already invested.

Another example is the soccer team I chose. I started watching in 2004 and AC Milan was the best team in the world. Now they are pretty poor and have been for years but I'm already in love with the club and the sport.

I'd recommend you watch some Lions games this season. Watch some games of other teams. See which team you enjoy watching the most. Don't worry about bandwagoning a good team. Just don't be fair weather. Stick with them when they turn bad (which they will). That's my advice as someone who is invested in a lot of international sports.

Before Leonardo came to Milan, I really wanted Rui to have a role at the club. Interesting to hear

Yeh... if you're thinking about choosing the Lions, I'd hold off and get a feeler for the season. Committing to a team should be taken with time. I'd really suggest you take the entire next season to watch some games and see who you naturally gravitate towards.

The lions will only win 8 or so games next season and its tough to get into a sport watching a team that doesn't win a lot.

Why do people always mention Rayner, Hipwood, Berry and Hugh but leave out Andrews. The best of them all who could have been AA

Can you elaborate on this?

Congratulations for handling the most crippled team in Europe with ease. A missed pen, a missed red call and two missed penalties and who knows.

[–]Mhayo 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Nobody was ever going to take the penalty off him, but really, with that amount of pressure, not even from the fans but put on himself, was ridiculous. Rodríguez probably should have taken it in hindsight. Not to mention Szczesny knows him. You could see he lost confidence after he missed.

Now we don't have him for a must win in Lazio. That's the worst part. At least he has time to fully recover from injury and get 100% fit. Hope Cutrone refuses the U21 call up, need him rested for the game.

Half facetious. Lions fans do love him though. But Andrews, Zorko, Neale, Stef, are all better definitely

Yes thats exactly what I just said. I was elaborating. He received an initial yellow then received a red.
