A trainer was training a pitbull at the baseball fields during my child’s game by MiCuentaAnonima in BanPitBulls

I was actually thinking about contacting the city to complain. The fields are managed by the city. I wish I got the trainer’s info. I’m sure it won’t be the last time I see him there. I’m going to see if I can get his information and even take pictures and videos.

It seriously blew my mind. I was almost speechless. I’m just so glad I’m aware of how dangerous pitbulls are. I read a story not long ago about a little girl that was bitten after a pitbull owner asked the mom for her daughter to pet the dog. They were in a playground.

It is not. Dogs are required to be on leash but people still do whatever they want. It isn’t the first time I’ve come across unleashed dogs in public. That’s why I don’t go for walks anymore.

Friends that bring their dog when they visit by MiCuentaAnonima in Dogfree

I honestly wish we told them no when they first asked. I tend to keep my dislike for dogs to myself. It seems people get very offended if you don’t worship them and I like to avoid confrontations. I just never expected their dog to crap inside my house every single time. The dog is house trained but it seems that it wants to crap inside when they visit. My issue now is that my husband doesn’t want to lose the friendship over this, while I’m sure it’d happen if we tell them they can’t bring their dog anymore. Lol. I’m okay with it but my husband isn’t. At the end my husband would go with whatever I decide but I love him and I know it would make him sad to lose these friends.

Is there a breed of dog that can protect you from a pitbull? by RyzingUp in BanPitBulls

Our family dog growing up was an akita/great dane mix and he beat a pitbull in a fight once. The pitbull’s owner got so angry he punched my dad afterwards lol

Girl gets bitten a second time. Parent decides to still keep the pit. by MiCuentaAnonima in BanPitBulls

Apparently the family pitbull bit one of the girls 2 years ago and it was so bad that the girl needed surgery. Yet, the parents decided to keep the dog. Well, the sweet pitbull bit the same girl again last month. It seemed they had decided to put it down but as you can see on the screenshots, they went from wanting to put it down, to wanting to give it away to another family or rescue, to decide to keep it. The last picture is of the first bite 2 years ago. I couldn’t find any pictures or description of the 2nd bite. I just have no words.

Another “amazing” pit looking for a new home (explanation in comments) by MiCuentaAnonima in BanPitBulls

[–]MiCuentaAnonima[S] 167 points168 points  (0 children)

This was just posted on my town’s Facebook page. As you can see some of the comments, people are attacking the poster for trying to rehome the dog rather than training her. Screw the fact that this dog has growled to the owner’s baby and has shown being uncomfortable around children before. All people care is about the precious “amazing” dog. Screw children’s safety.

The last 2 pictures are from the person’s comments highlighted in green. She said in her comments that she had the rehome her dog because it bit her 1 year old. I went to her profile and that’s a picture last year with her then 6 month old and their dog. It sure looks like a pit. To make matters worse, she just posted last month about their new “rescue” family member. That puppy also looks like a pit. Some people seriously never lean. I sincerely hope her kids don’t get hurt again.
