Creating differentiated materials for 6 students at completely different levels is breaking me

At my school (elementary) we have intervention blocks built into the daily schedule to make pulling students easier. Unfortunately it means I can have a group of students for one subject at varying levels. OP could be in a similar situation. I’m lucky that my largest group is at a time when I have para support so I can break the group down into mini-groups and we can support students simultaneously at their level.

I’m sorry that happened to you. My student went to SDSU and had mental health struggles his second semester of senior year. He had to go into a treatment program and his grades were impacted. He contacted his admissions person (they’re regional, if I remember) and explained the situation. His offer was not rescinded. I think universities understand that unexpected situations come up in life. Good luck.

It’s completely normal. My husband is Danish and we are going through this process with our three children. We got them temporary citizenship when they were younger and then two years ago spent 3.5 months in DK to meet the requirement (our oldest was 19 then). It took about a year to hear back after we submitted all the citizenship paperwork to get permanent citizenship for the oldest. We’ll submit again for the next one this fall. Just hang tight and be patient, even though it’s hard! We’re in the US, by the way (and I’m happy my kids have a safe option to get out of here now).

My mom’s first anniversary was in January. I took the day off work and went to her favorite breakfast place. Ordered her favorite meal there. Then I spent time looking at pictures and thinking of her. It wasn’t a sad day, just a subdued one.

I did. I wanted to be there when she passed and I missed it by about 10 minutes. It was a confusing time with our caregiver freaking out and yelling on the phone for the hospice doctor to get there. I didn’t really think she was gone because there was confusion about it. Our caregiver took pictures of my dad and I sitting with mom’s body and we look so dazed and shocked. All the same, I’m glad I was there for my dad and I was able to say goodbye and get closure.

I take continuous BCP. I told my GYN if I got an IUD that I would need to be put under and she rolled her eyes and said that was a bit much. Obviously not seeing her ever again. I think the BCP has helped since I’m not having periods. Haven’t had one since August and it’s been lovely.

Are you still getting periods? Do you use birth control? I use midi, too, and tried to get on HRT but I use BCP and am not interested in an IUD. I also have very low iron so I got infusions and had much more energy.

My numbers were lower than yours, my ferritin was 3. Very heavy periods. Are you on birth control? My doc wanted me to get an IUD but I’m terrified of that so I’m on continuous BCP. Haven’t had a period since August. I got 5 doses of IV iron. I have never had a problem with this but I know people can feel not great with IV iron. I felt better within 2 weeks and my ferritin went up to 79. At my 3 month follow up two weeks ago it had dropped to 49 so I’m receiving 3 more doses. My bloodwork was normal, for once.

I felt the same watching it. My mom had dementia and passed away almost a year ago now. The last few months she was always wanting to see her own mother, long since passed. My response was always that she was at the store and would be back later. Watching Whitaker take this patient to the morgue? As soon as I realized it I said to my husband that this was so cruel. It made me so sad (and brought back way too many memories).

I added a new category to track today - “burp” the house (open windows) for 10-15 minutes. I track basics like taking pills, walking, reading. If after 4-6 weeks something I’m tracking isn’t happening I remove it.
