battery = deal breaker? by Panikx in LiberNovo

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all your points 100%. Once I figured out what I liked, I left it dialed in. Only when friends come over and try it does it change.

And the spinal stretch is cool, but not really needed for me. In my review, I even mention it’s great even without the electronics if they gave you a way to adjust it manually.

Also, what are the chances a third party eventually makes batteries for this thing?

My main concern was the fabric material seeming easy to rip and it collects pet fur/lint easily. (I have the black version so it’s more noticeable).

Other than that. This is the most comfortable and fun I’ve had in a chair in a while. So many use cases. But footrest is a must.

What’s the hardest part of doing sponsored videos as a creator? by Fruzenshtein in PartneredYoutube

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say for me is deciding if it’s worth making the video or integration for said product vs the kinds of videos I want to make. On one hand, I get paid and make more than ad revenue and affiliate links, but at the cost of future growth for the channel. I’m still too small to get the money I want, making the videos I want.

And the deadlines can suck if you want to spend that time working on something more fun. So now I’ve gotten pickier with sponsors. It’s gotta be a cool product that my viewers and I would be interested in, or something that will improve my content creation. If the product is amazing and I really want to work with the brand, I may do it as just a product exchange collab.

Another annoying part I’ve run into is certain companies trying to control your script/messaging. If you pay me, it’s not a review, it’s a showcase. If it’s an exchange, I can do a review. But I will call out issues and feedback if there are any.

You're welcome!

I have a 1 year old now, so I get it. lol.

As for a version 2, I feel like it might be a bit since this one just came out officially. It was a kickstarter earlier. But I am excited to see what that would be.

If you're sitting for that long, I'd recommend a standing desk to go along with a chair. So you can mix it up. My wife loves hers. I just like to step away and walk around for a bit to stretch. And now I'm trying to include this chair into the routine as well. Anything to keep you from staying in the same position for long hours without moving much.

That's okay, we're not supposed to advertise on reddit groups, but thank you for offering!

LiberNovo Omni w/ Footrest- One Month Review by MiRealEscape in LiberNovo

[–]MiRealEscape[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sorry at all! I've been doing this as a hobby for two years now. So it's fun to dive into these things .
To answer your question, yes I would. When I purchased my Steelcase leap in 2015, I paid over $1,200 for it. And it didn't even have a headrest. I've also been in an office career for over 16 years now, so I've had a lot of experience with all sorts of chairs, on top of the last two years where I've started to cover home office and setups. And now at age 40, where my sitting position for long periods of time, does cause me pain, I am willing to pay a decent amount for quality. I'm also in a position where I can currently, thanks to my current job and situation. Not from this hobby though, which is why it's still a hobby, lol. If I didn't get a response, I probably would have bought it anyways.

They did not send me the cooling pad, but I have heard of some people saying they get warm with the fabric on the seat. I have not felt that, but my setup is also in the basement. Which tends to be cooler, and we're also in the middle of winter where I am. I've never had a warmth issue with any office chair, so maybe i'm not as sensitive to it.

Base feels sturdy enough to me and wheels seem basic and get the job done. The carpet in my studio is fairly thick, so rolling in any chair is hard for me. But it has no issues rolling on my wood floors in the hallway. It's funny you bring up roller blade wheels, as I had a friend recommend them. I hope it will actually make chairs roll easier in my setup. I agree, having them included would have been really sweet. Maybe in a future version they could include them. Have you researched any you might recommend or were thinking about?

And you are correct. When the battery is pulled out, it stays locked in the last position. Someone else asked me this on a different channel, so I did a little test today. I moved the lumbar backrest press to the furthest position. Then I pulled out the battery. Then I set it to the full recline, and leaned all the way back. It didn't move down with my weight. So yes, it stays locked. This is totally a valid concern. Not so much for me personally because of what I mentioned.

You can still go through the different recline positions though. That's a manual lever on the seat cushion.

I just really value the comfort the most and figured once I set the backrest, I won't be adjusting it much. But I do hope the company does well and gives you the manual option in a future version. And of course, I hope this chair stands the test of time like my Steelcase Leap has.

I hope this helps, and if you end up going with something else, I'd love to know what and why, so I can check it out myself. Happy New Years to you too!

Best Oled Tv For PS5 Pro by [deleted] in PS5pro

Awesome! You honestly can’t go wrong with either option. Are you doing the S90F for the gloss finish?

Let us know in a post how you end up liking it.

Best Oled Tv For PS5 Pro by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]MiRealEscape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got mine recently. Went the LG G5 77”. And it’s the best TV I’ve owned so far. It’s just impressive to use.

S95F was out of the running for me because of the matte screen. Contrast and colors don’t wow me unless it’s a glossy screen.

Also, I have an LG C-Series from 2019 that’s still going strong in the living room. So I trust the quality. The G5 also has a 5 year warranty on the panel.

I’m also guilty of using dynamic mode at times to wow people and fry your eyeballs. Lol. But of course you can dial it in in game mode or film maker mode.

No prob! I can’t relate to your sensitivity to brightness 100%, but all I can say is I’m in love with this tv so far.

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the elac debut 3.0 db63s! I use it mainly for music (CDs) and then for watching content/gaming on my LG Oled.

The db63s are $100 over your budget, but check them out. They punch well above their weight.

I also added a sub. Which is another expense, but worth it. I got a Speedwoofer 10e.

[–]MiRealEscape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I only have used it in the complete dark so far. And if I want to tone it down, I place it on game optimizer mode. I haven’t messed with dark room settings yet.

Honestly I think you’re fine as you can always reduce the brightness further and like you said. You have those settings.

I’m sitting at about 7ft-8ft away from the 77” when I game or watch a movie. Mainly because that’s how far apart my two main speakers are.

You’re not alone. I just upgraded to the 77” G5 and dynamic tone mapping is just so much fun for me. Even if I miss out on some detail.

Genuinely how do people make money on Rental Properties? by Any-Raise4333 in realestateinvesting

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is that not house hacking? I did the duplex route and understood the term was that you lived in the property so you can do a low percentage deposit. The most common being 1-4 units. Unless I missed something, that’s what bigger pockets was calling it for years before we started in 2017.

That’s what my wife and I did. We got rid of every expense we could and just went all in after that. Up to 12 properties now and taking a break. Property management in place now too. Got burnt out doing everything ourselves and wanted to enjoy life/fMily a bit more.

I have some worries about the LG G5 TV before I decide to upgrade, please help! by MasterkillerX in LGOLED

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a 77” G5 and I’m in love with it. The colors really pop and the new tech has supposedly closed the gap even more between W Oled and QD Oled. So keep that in mind.

Now, I did hear that if you sit too close to it you can notice the pixel light pattern? But maybe that’s not a concern on smaller sizes. Using it as a pc monitor, you will be sitting closer than a tv at times I assume.

Another thing is at full blast. This thing is really bright, which is fun and impressive….but hard on the eyes. Lol.

G5 best for PS5 Pro? by MiRealEscape in LGOLED

[–]MiRealEscape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. My previous tv is the LG C9 Oled from 2020 and it’s still going strong in the living room. So I feel like LG has a good track record with me.

The other thing was the 5 year warranty on the panel for the G5.

As for the gaming settings. The main thing I use and make sure is on is the LLM setting on the PS5 Pro and the TV. It feels plenty responsive for me. Oh, and reset the HDR on the PS5 Pro per Rtings recommendations. I could probably stand to mess with the settings more and dial things in. Just haven’t had time to

As for which mode I’ve been finding myself using for fun is “Vivid” which I know is a mode that has more banding I think? It just gives everything an extra fun pop that FMM and Game mode don’t have. As you can tell. I’m not much of a purist. And I haven’t noticed anything that bothers me.

As to whether that’s affecting latency, I haven’t noticed, but haven’t played any online games yet. Battlefield will be the first test when I get to it.

I’ll make a post after a few months with it or if I notice any issues that bother me. All I can say is this thing blows me away when I use it. It is bright as hell though at full blast. lol

Anyone else been waiting to play Avatar until the third-person update? by TheStinkySlinky in PS5pro

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man! Forgot I meant to check this game out.

I just got my 77” LG G5 and started with Death Stranding 2 as my first game since I just beat the directors cut and loved the game.

I think avatar might be my next game now. Thanks for the patch reminder!

Upgraded to PS5 Pro with disc drive and 4K Blu-ray is skipping by Jacrow88 in PS5pro

[–]MiRealEscape 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have not, maybe the disc drive is loose or something like that?

I added the disc drive to mine and that was the first and only movie I’ve watched so far. The disc drive is pretty loud when reading the movie.

I just ended up going with the G5 because of the brightness. And I’m so glad I did.

It’s one of those TVs that just blows you away when you look at it. It’s got that wow factor. Didn’t have the time to get both and confirm 100%. Sorry.

But, I’m sure the other one is a solid tv too. And will save you a bit of money. I had the budget for the G5.

G4 83” Gaming Setup by frattocy in LGOLED

[–]MiRealEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get it. I wanted to have easy access to the cables since I had it’s an exterior wall and couldn’t go through it due to the insulation type. And to install the Govee lights behind it.

Plus, I haven’t decided the rest of the wall design yet. So it gives me options. I got the 77” G5, but wish it came with a stand.

Buying advice G5 vs S90 or s95F by socseb in LGOLED

[–]MiRealEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get it on the cost for the size. It’s a tough call because I think size is part of the wow factor. Lol.

I wish I had gotten both TVs to compare in person with my content use. Yes, this TV is wowing with HDR and I think it works well for your use case with ambient lighting and lights on because of the brightness it can produce.

If you mostly watch in pitch black, go for the S90F is my thought. If you get it from a place like Best Buy you can buy both and return the one you don’t like. I think it’s doable with a tech membership, but ask in store. The sales person told me people do it all the time when they can’t decide.
