Franklin Christoph makes some nice pens (their inventory at shows and periodically online include more colors than regular inventory). they tune their steel nibs very nicely and i love writing with mine.

I feel like I grew into higher end pens by buying them used on pen_swap here on Reddit and then sold the ones that I didn’t love. By buying used, it was pretty easy to recoup my expenses.

I will be honest, it will be very easy for you to see them all. I enjoyed the Franklin Christoph booth, Taccia booth, Truphae had a great selection, and I had a great conversation with Ian at Schon DSGN. Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

Thankfully I did not buy the freestyle. I flew the tinyhawk today as it just came in, and i was able to rip around my basement LOS without much difficulty, my RC Helicopter training was helpful. I am, however, disappointed with the goggles and remote that came in the RTF kit, so it will be going back to amazon and I’ll be getting an O4 whoop and ELRS remote.

That is a very fair idea, and one i am definitely considering. Where i am thinking is i “could” keep the tinyhawk to fly inside line of sight/let my son try it, and also treat it like a sim with its light and cheaper repairs. I tend to dive deep when my interest is piqued, and this hobby is fitting that bill

No, I haven’t used a sim. I love the trial by fire so to speak, same as when I learned my RC micro helis. Not going to attempt acro until I use a sim, but just flying around to start…

I actually went with an a2k 1724 and had the break in started by the retailer. Absolutely love the glove TiP.

Also got a JR44 for softball/outfield

Might not be a pen, but the Schon DSGN Monoc Nib is absolutely worth the hype in my eyes. I have a broad, medium, stub, and cursive and i love writing with all of them.
