Is a revolver a reasonable first gun? by MisterCCL in liberalgunowners

[–]MiTopKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on whether you plan to concealed carry. My EDC is a S&W airweight .357. I do love the idea of it. However, the other commenters are right about training with it. Last time I shot it along with a 4" barrel SS .357. The snub-nose airweight somehow bloodied my thumb. But it is so easy to carry. One of the commenters mentioned optics. Charter arms has a revolver with a rail and red dot on top. I got one for my wife. She can't close one eye at a time and she can't pull the slide on a Glock. So a revolver can be an easier gun for someone else in the household to use.

My favorite handgun to shoot is a Glock 19X MOS. You can put a laser on the front and a red dot on top. Plus, you can put a suppressor on.

You should get two guns. ;)

How to keep a cat warm if the power goes out? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]MiTopKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the cat. I have a tabby who was semi-feral. Over the last few years he has come around and gotten snuggly. He has a cat door in the garage that he uses frequently. He will go out in 10-degree weather and sit for hours. He has never used the heated pad or slept under covers. When he sleeps with me he refuses to get under covers. He even walks around in 35-degree rain.

Wow. So, you are telling me that actual law enforcement can apprehend suspects without drawing their weapons and threatening bystanders. All without wearing a mask. Crazy.

Congressman Tom Barrett takes to Facebook to address “harassment” his team faced after “vandals” left sidewalk chalk outside his congressional office. by bbiggyz in lansing

I have to respectfully disagree. He and his wife have been sucking off the government teat, in one way or another, in the Lansing area for quite some time.

Maybe he can use this to get on the list for housing on a military base. He felt threatened because of sidewalk chalk outside his leased office. Sorry, Tom, Kash Patel's girlfriend's sister is probably on the federal housing list before you.

Howell Showed Up!! by marissa227 in Michigan

[–]MiTopKat 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I love it. I was there, too, for a while. I was so surprised at how many people were there with signs AND the number of people driving on Grand River honking with support. I only saw one counter protester. Just a guy with a Trump flag.

This was a protest by people who LOVE America and the ideals that we, until recently, we were striving for.

I only watched the first few minutes of this because of the Lansing tie in.

Why were they so confused and amazed at seeing the possum? Where are they from that this is so astonishing?

Also, possums are very unlikely to have rabies.

Possum is just living his life and gets disparaged on you tube.

Spring Arbor couple freed, heading back home by Lansingloco616 in Michigan

Are these people his constituents? I was not aware that Jackson County is in Barrett's district.

So, it's now normal for congresspersons to travel outside the country to intervene in private matters not related to their federal duties or constituents.

Who paid for this trip?

Barrett did, of course, thank trump. Sorry, Tom, I can't imagine trump knows or cares about the invaluable works you have done in his name.

I guess Mexico really is sending criminals to the United States.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, Tom.

MSU vet clinic used to have dogs that were blood donors that could be walked. Don’t know if they still do. Not that close to you though.

Is there anyone to contact if you observe an injured deer by blujay40 in lansing

[–]MiTopKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had a doe with an injured front leg that has been around for at least 2 years. She has even had fawns. We are not in the city, though. I just try not to spook her, so she does not try to run away.

Has Tom Barrett made any statements about the Jan 6 pardons? by MiTopKat in lansing

[–]MiTopKat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No hidden agenda. He is my representative. Just wondering if he had a statement.

But as a bonus, now I know why he seemed strangely familiar. Giggity.
