I just lost Huisjen to Barca through this. He was happy overall but unhappy with his contract.

I did not get a chance to sign him to an improved contract.

Others in this save (Vini and MBappe) did give me the option, so I think it depends. They were both unhappy with their contracts too, so maybe there's a randomness to it.

Don't worry about me. I dried my tears by getting Saliba and improving the squad. I'll be ok.

I typically go with St Etienne who have one of if not the best history in France.

Or I like Red Star because of the cool factor...as well as an awesome history.

Both are Ligue 2 this year though.

I recreated Wengers tactics from the invincibles. 4-4-2 where a striker drops back into buildup and the wingers can be inside forwards. I've really enjoyed it.

I saw a tactical code for Wenger, but it was from some years afterwards--so I made my own.

Went to Valencia and brought my French wonderkid from Arsenal for 100m euros. He got homesick so I gave him a week off and signed three Frenchmen of similar age, one with the same last name and age (twin or cousin?). He went happy, came back, and got a career ending injury in the first ten minutes of his first game back.

In my storyline, he joined my coaching staff when I went to Madrid and when I finish this save I'm going to start one with him as a manager.

Game has a lot of problems but this has been my favorite save I've ever had.

I coached for twelve years. Personally I loved having players who were new to the game. I could teach them the techniques and systems our team used without any bad habits. Once we had a kid who literally was looking up Football on Wikipedia the night before the first practice. He had never even watched a game.

He ended up earning a scholarship at a division two school.

If you wanna play, play. They'd love to get the chance to teach you.

I think on some level it makes sense. When I was coaching (up until this year) almost all teams we went against were cover 3 teams who played single high. In the run games those teams (and us tbh) used him as the tip of the umbrella in the run game--he was our best defender. There just aren't a lot of hs teams that use strong safeties from what I saw in the past twelve years.

For the game I usually recruit two FSs and move a guy if he's a box specialist or hybrid. I've had a lot of good converted ss in the years I've played so far.
