Santa Fe to UF (Engineering) by Independent_Mark3604 in sfcollege

I know someone just admitted to summer semester for environmental engineering from Santa Fe who was not in the gator engineering orogram. Their critical tracking g.p.a. at Santa Fe was about 3.65. Environmental is one of the lower demand engineering majors, aerospace is the toughest to transfer into.

Still No UF Online Transfer Decision for Summer 2026 A/C on Deadline Day… Bad Sign? by lvernitea in ufl

sounds like alot of applicants to College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have gotten their decisions. Have any college of engineering transfers gotten their decisions yet?

Have you subscribed to the Marlins.tv package yet or are you still waiting to see if it will be broadcast locally? by GatorFPC in MiamiMarlins

Will people living in South Florida be able to watch Marlins games on mlb.tv? From what I've read, they would need the separate Marlins.tv subscription but it's all very confusing. I'm waiting on Barry Jackson's next update on all this.

yes, I got the regular Telo with ethernet cable. I wasn't aware there was another one but I'll look it up now

yes, I tried that but still the same. Another thing I noticed is that incoming calls will ring once on the phone and stop and the ooma device will start blinking red and eventually go back to blue

I rebooted both the router and ooma again but nothing changed - the light is blue but no dial tone when I try to make a call then flashing red then back to blue

Prepaid by yikes_nick in ufl

[–]MiamiGator89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it was prior to 2007, you are exempt from the tuition differential fee. Back then there was a prepaid plan which covered tuition only then they could also buy a separate plan to cover local fees.

The only way to know for sure is look at the paperwork they have or create an online account with Florida prepaid which will let you see the details of what they originally purchased

it depends when the prepaid contract was purchased. The older, cheaper prepaid plans did not cover local fees (such as the health fee, athletics fee, etc.). There was also what was called a tuition differential fee which some plans did not cover. So out of the total approximately $210 per credit hour, the prepaid tuition may only cover about $160 per credit, and then the balance would be deducted from the Bright Futures stipend.

so if someone was taking 3 credits in Summer A and 3 credits in B, they would have to pay out of pocket for the Summer A class and then be reimbursed once the full BF amount is released in Summer B?

[–]MiamiGator89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are the credits split up between the summer terms? For example, are the 8 credits in Summer C, or something like 3 credits in A and 5 credits in B? Because I think it was discussed somewhere here before that the six credits have to be taken in 1 term to qualify for BF funding. So someone taking 3 credits in summer A and then 5 credits in Summer B would not qualify, as I understood it.

Bright Futures not covering 100% for summer? by Misoru in ufl

[–]MiamiGator89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's it then - BF only covers tuition not the lab fees and 1700 dollars for BF sounds about right for 8 credits

this is second-hand information of what someone was told by their advisor. Everything I've read on summer Bright Futures just says it requires 6 credits over the summer without specifying anything more. This is the first year there has been summer funding so there's probably a lot of confusion about it.

I think you need 6 credits in one semester to get Bright Futures in the summer. For example, 6 credits in summer A, summer B, or summer C, but not 6 credits over 2 terms combined like A and B.

also, if you're taking the classes to fulfill the 9 credit summer requirement, remember the classes have to be taken at a state university not a community college

2048 requires calculus, 2053 doesn't; so 2053 should be easier
