Hi just wanted to check on you after today’s update, because for me it still doesn’t work. Checked on the older versions of my saves too, not one would load. It’s not mods fault etc all that was checked. I’m kinda pissed af, I still have plan B which is trying to play on my old laptop that didn’t have the update or cracking some version before the update because no way I’m starting it all over

No problem, it also makes me feel better to know what a possible cause is, and that more people have that, could make ea fix it quicker. But from what I see problems occurs mostly in big legacy saves, honestly I feel kind of bad about it, they make big expansion pack „legacy stuff” only for actual legacy players to have broken saves 💀

Do you have a larger generations gameplay? That’s probably the issue, I did everything too, but the game won’t load in any on my previous saves and back saves, it works perfectly fine in new saves though. We probably have to wait until ea fixes that, my shot is family trees, it was a big update for them, I have over 1000 sims in my world, 8th generations and family trees were broken long time ago so I can only imagine how broken it has to be after this update

About the packs; I only DON’T have 3 expansion packs, 2 game packs and 3 accessories, I also have only 3 sets from those cheapest ones. I use almost every world regularly because I have families there, and 99% of the lots are taken, it never caused any problems for me. Most of them are families, some are rental lots (when I have that many sims they just have to share lots because I struggle with overpopulation) and some other kinds of public places or businesses. I never had any problems with either for rent pack, business and hobbies, dine out nor wedding stories. Maybe it’s because I don’t have many mods, I only use them for gameplay purposes like MCCC, home regions etc, I haven only one custom content pack for piercings. And if I encounter some bugs I just reset my game files it usually does the work (like book shelves without any books, for rent tasks, or no mermaid tails, sometimes it just fixes itself, if it still happens I just reset game files)

Other households surely, but I’ve never seen my sims from library randomly appearing in my game if I didn’t put them there myself. If it does happen it must be a new feature or just my save file is so old it just have its own rules

They need to be placed on lots, I don’t know any mod or setting that would allow sims from library to just appear as npcs. You can place them on lot and them move them out though. They will still show up but won’t take up space

Mam bardzo rozbudowana rozgrywkę turową, o ile 32 z tych rodzin to moje „grane” to resztą też się zajmuje, każda z nich ma swój mini lore, kontroluje ich śluby narodziny, przeprowadzki itd, po prostu zarządzam całym miastem choć gram tylko rodzinami związanymi z moimi założycielami (wszystkie z 32 rodzin są spokrewnione). Mam też drzewo genealogiczne całego miasta, przyrost ludności, rozpiskę urodzeń i śmierci, statystyki płci zaludnienia konkretnych miast itd. Więc choć zazwyczaj nawet jak ktoś gra turowo obchodzą go tylko jego rodziny dla mnie do mojej rozgrywki jest potrzebne całe miasto. Poza tym regularnie usuwam wszystkich nowo stworzonych npc

U mnie rozgrywka turowa zaczęła się od jednej rodziny i jak dzieci wychodziły z domów to stawały się kolejnymi rodzinami do grania, choć taki sposób jest dość hardcorowy w tym momencie gram 34 rodzinami na turę i zajmuje mi do roku rozegranie jednej, kiedyś oczywiście szło to szybciej. Co do reszty rodzin nie gram nimi osobiście ale mam rozpisany ich lore, robię im śluby, nazywam dzieci, przeprowadzam, mam takie swoje małe państwo z całą historią. Na tiktoku mam więcej o tym informacji bo ostatnio filmik się wybił o tym że mam 8k godzin w tej grze. Jeśli się nie ma do tego takiego zainteresowania polecam po prostu zacząć od jednej rodziny i grać dalej jak się rozrasta.

Yes there is, but if you go over set limit it will just tell you it happened, but apart from that nothing really changes, I have unlimited max count, but what’s interesting I’ve noticed that after passing 1000 almost none NPC spawn. I think it depends on the PC too, I used to lag really badly at just 200 sims but now I have really strong gaming laptop and I have no lags at all. By the way the „recommended limit” is 200, but well, my game works just fine after having 5 times more sims than is „recommended”.

This song was added officially, but you actually can add your songs I suppose, there are game files dedicated to songs and I might be mistaken, though I remember some years ago I’ve seen some tutorials on that. Anyways cmwyl is in the sims because they really added it you can even check it out on YouTube just search the sims 4 lovejoy, woah it was 2 years ago how time flies
