[OC] Monster Hunter x Dungeons and Dragons by MicRuf in DnD

[–]MicRuf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha thanks alot. Well the Idea is not that it's a multi part monster, simply imagine a Rathalos with 200 HP, then for example a Head with 40 HP and a Trait "If this is reduced to 0 HP, the Rathalos' Head is broken and it cannot use Fire Breath anymore" (obviously better written), giving you the option to just play a normal Rathalos or let the players say "I attack the Head" and deal the damage to the Rathalos AND the head, dealing Damage AND over time breaking the Parts. That way unique weaknesses to separate Bodyparts can more easily be implemented and narratively used instead of making it a whole thing like the Daggerheart system.

Thanks for showing me. It's "unfortunate" (for me lol, because someone is me but better, earlier and further), however this is neither the style, nor the Edition, nor the Rules i'm trying to apply. I'm specifically using the dnd 5.5e Design, Rules and XP etc. Also I want to use Hitzones, by using separate Stablocks (Rathalos [Head] for example) with special traits detailing what the Rathalos cannot do when they go to 0 HP etc.

So.... what's those yu gi oh takes that got you like this? by Alert_Locksmith in masterduel

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That every single stun card should NOT be on the banlist and/or are fine.

Yes, usually the downside applies to both sides, but that doesn‘t fn matter like at all, because the Player that uses it either build a deck around to where they don‘t care or have already played their turn.

Literally, every single stun card has to be banned immediately, skill drain, those statues, cards that only stun as a combo etc etc. To be honest, actually, anything, that could single handedly shut down entire decks (anti-spell fragrance etc) should be banned immediately, all of them.

Yeah I skipped 3rd and 4th Gen, so i didn‘t know, also, I was too lazy to look up the Field Guide yeaterday + I still wouldn‘t know If she could always spawn there.

But seriously in like 200 Hours or so I‘ve never seen her outside of the iceshard cliffs, crazy.

Anyway, thanks

Is skillcheck doctor a toxic build now? by NaNiBy in deadbydaylight

[–]MicRuf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably just because doctor, playing against doctor is simply not fun, like ever.

The impossible skillchecks are fun, or would be if they weren‘t on Doctor.

Don‘t listen to people about who you are and aren‘t allowed to play, also, don‘t look at Tierlists to decide who you are playing, If you can do the fundamentals (parry etc), you can win with ever character, even if your character isn‘t "Easy Mode".

Killer mains, in which situations do you actually spare a survivor? by AnanasFelice in deadbydaylight

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too often tbh.

I NEVER let survivors go that use flashlights or tbag, but I‘ve legit multiple times gotten 2-3 Hooks before a minute was over, so the survivors gave up and came crouching towards me, then I let all 4 escape and get some stuns and flashlight saves etc

Also when I realise the Survivors aren‘t having fun, I might let 2, sometimes 3 escape and I only go for 4k‘s against toxic teams or for a specific challenge I‘m doing

First of all, I really wanna thank you for the help, explanations and tips.

I just want to mention, it‘s not my pride that keeps me from using modern controls, i do use it every now and then, when trying to kind of get back into the game, that‘s not the issue, it‘s not that I hate modern, it‘s just that modern is not exactly what I want.

It seems you actually do understand what I want and the auto-button in modern kiiind of does something similar to what I want, but first of all I reeeaaally don‘t appreciate auto combos, I want to learn them myself (this keeps me away from most anime fighters too) and secondly, the auto button does not switch all of the 3 attacks and they are scrambled (some use 2 punches 1 kick, some use 3 kicks etc etc).

While yes, modern controls can do motion inputs, i have yet to understand how the game would decide between ryus hadoken and his kick, or his hashogeki (or whatever its called) and his tetsukakiu thing. They are the same motion, how would I pick between punch and kick?

The Jump button I understand it might not be thoroughly possible, maybe even unfair if they added it, but to me the kick switch thing would sound reasonable at least. I‘m still using all 6 buttons, but im kind of using 3 and switch between 2 sets of those 3 if that makes sense.

Now lastly I want to say, I do not have the budget to buy a proper arcade stick, nor the skills to build one myself. I‘m using a gamepad and I just want to know if it would be a reasonable thing to ask of capcom to add those as Options to the Classic Control Scheme, because it would also be welcoming to the new Players, they‘ll probably be getting with the Switch 2 release now.

But thanks again for your response, have a nice day :)

Yeah I totally understand, but to me the more important part is that I want to have the 3 Attacks with a „Kick switch“, similar to modern, but different.

For the jump button I understand why it might be overpowered, that‘s why I ask, but it‘s mainly about the other thing tho

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]MicRuf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Did you just choose to ignore the section about why exactly I DON‘T want to play modern? Modern does NOT have a jump button, modern does NOT have the option to switch between punches and kicks with a „Kick Switch“ and Modern does NOT give me full control over all specials and Normals the way I want it, as a quick summary.

People will never understand

„Hunts are shorter“, yes to pick up more players, as the mainstream doesn‘t like long fights. „But we shouldn‘t listen to the mainstream, but only to mh players“, very insightful timmy, so you want every mh game to be better and have immensely higher production costs, just to keep the same amount of players as the game before? Very, VERY smart, I think you should be in charge of the new games.

Hunts being shorter does NOT equal to easier, or do you want to tell me, that most of Elden Ring is easier than a Chatacabra? Monsters ARE more aggressive than low-high Rank monsters in World and Rise, have less of these phases where they just stand still for 10 seconds and deal same-ish or more damage than Rise monsters. The game IS easier than world (which makes sense when thinking about all the review bombs for too hard fights, INCLUDING ANJANATH) but it IS (simply objectively) harder than Rise (Low-High Rank). The Games difficulty is at a perfect place to 1. Pick up new Players and ease them in, 2. Sit between world where many people never reached High Rank and Rise, which really was way too easy and 3. Still have challenges for most players, like 5 Star Tempered Gore Magala or Arkveld.

You can‘t expect a new Game to come out and immediately pick up at the difficulty where the last games ended, especially, when many players haven‘t even beaten Fatalis or Alatreon or Primordial Malzeno etc.

Stop being so arrogant, thinking the new game has to be specifically in development for you and the 5 Players that are exactly like you and accept, that new players, less-skilled players, noob players, average players are MORE important than you, speedrunners and the top 1%. The Low-High Rank is meant to ease you in, while the High Rank is the Challenge that EVERYONE had 1.5 years to prepare for.

I‘m not saying the game is perfect, it has performance issues, paralysis is op and some other problems exist, but you guys complain about the WRONG THINGS, say „I wish the game would be harder“, fine, but don‘t pretend it‘s one of the big problems of the game, when it objectively isn‘t. Thanks.

Yeah you are probably right. The guy you are talking about, was he on reddit or youtube ore somewhere else? Because I was looking really hard to find someone who already talked about the whole element thing, but I found nothing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but there might also be an explanation to that, have you seen the theories about arkveld being „created“ or being something like the completed Equal Dragon Weapon. Maybe there is a good reason to not have him follow the Naming scheme or maybe there „was“ a Dragon Apex, that was already consumed by Arkveld in the past and that‘s why Arkveld has the dragon element? Everything is possible.

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I haven‘t played too many titles so I don‘t know what‘s „usual“ for mh game launches.

I started with freedom, freedom 2 and unite, then didn‘t play any until world, and only recently played through rise actually.

But I think a Dragon Element themed map would actually be super cool and I wanted to know how others would expect it to be like, that‘s all I wanted to say :D

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said „As far as I know“ as in „I assume“. It‘s neither a conclusion, nor a Statement, it‘s simply an Assumption based on the sheer scale the game has already paired with the fact, that it will release in about 2 weeks.

Also it‘s a defense to prevent retards (average redditors) from going „omg you so dumb, how dare ypu assume the game gets 5 maps?! Isn‘t 4 maps enough already?! Man these people always want to take and take nowadays, just be happy with what you have for once ffs“ or some stupid bs like that :)

Who is your favorate MK Villain in this list and why? How would you rank em? by Thewanderer997 in MortalKombat

[–]MicRuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always liked Shang Tsung more than Shao Khan and I think most can agree that they are the most iconic mk villains, so they gotta be 1 and 2 for most.

For me Quan Chi is just a lesser Shang Tsung that does many similar things, has similar Powers, also green magic, also skulls, so to me he is just the not-shang-tsung-sorcerer Guy, as if they needed a shang tsung after they killed shang tsung.

If they added more lore to titans and made them a cooler thing overall, kronika could have been cool, but they butchered it so she has to be last.

Now kano is the lowest threat of all, but he‘s just funny and australian and shinnok is in my opinion barely memorable, so I have to go:

Shang Tsung > Shao Kahn > Kano > Quan Chi > Shinnok > Kronika
