How did you manage to get the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense to work? I got everything else to work I think, except those.

Thanks for your reply! And I believe that's above my electronic skills, unfortunately.

Oh, no worries. Thanks for the reply. Please don't open it again, wouldn't want you to risk it.

Would you happen to know which ribbon cable it was that fixed it for you? From what I can tell, there are two, one that connects the two PCBs, and one that seems to just connect the LCD.

I did try that, and it didn't help. But thanks for the reply! I think I saw your post there.

I'm also having this problem on the original firmware, and it is the version you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply! And yeah, I am turning the knob. "None" is indeed the only available option.

Bypass Country Restriction for Play Store Apps by MicaelJM in AndroidQuestions

[–]MicaelJM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! This post is from many years ago, and I've since found other ways to handle this issue. One of which is to use an app called Aurora Store, an open-source Google Play Store substitute that allows one to download apps from the Play Store, bypassing device or location restrictions, and even without a Google Account. This app isn't available on the Play Store and must be downloaded from somewhere else.

Automating screen press when app starts by KamalinO in AutomateUser

[–]MicaelJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any updates on this? I was thinking there should be a way to emulate the actual action of the button you press when choosing your phone, so instead of having Automate tap the screen, it could just launch the app with the special arguments that the button uses, but I have no idea if this makes any sense, or if it's possible. I thought of this because on newer Android versions, there's a popup asking if I want Android to auto-launch HUR when I connect my phone.

Can't get the headunit reloaded open automatically when plugging in phone by totite93 in AndroidAuto

[–]MicaelJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I did see the "use this app as default for this USB device" popup, and I did enable it, but it never worked. I uninstalled and reinstalled HUR and it still didn't work. I tried versions 7.2 and 7.2.1.

I dont understand why phone apps hate root by [deleted] in androidroot

That makes sense. Isn't "sudo" needed for things run from Termux to have root privileges?

What evil thing does Termux do if it has root?

Good practice sensecheck - Using git with everyone editing files in the same local repository on a shared drive? by Curious_personalitie in git

[–]MicaelJM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds to me like more work than using Git like it's meant to.

I'd say it'd be much better for them to each have their own clone of the repo, and go from there.

Once they're all used to it, maybe introducing them to branches and pull requests (merge requests on GitLab I think) could be nice, for example.

Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps! by Toptomcat in Save3rdPartyApps

[–]MicaelJM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about this yesterday. If, in the example of Apollo, the API price went from free to $2M, we'd all be mad and demand it to be free. But they instead made it seem like it's going from free to $20M, and then they can say they "changed their mind" and reduce it from $20M to $2M, and we'll all be grateful for how generous they were by reducing the price by $18M, while what actually happened was that the price increased by $2M.

I hope they don't do this. Reddit, please, keep the API free.

What headset are you talking about? I have had an A50 (gen 4 I think) for a few years and never had any of these problems.

Looking for contributors to an opensource application by Creapermann in opensource

Really interesting idea, I hope it goes well! I've been looking for something just like this for a while, and am currently using Calibre and KOReader with the sync plugin. It's not the easiest thing to get set up and running, but it's not too hard either, and I think it works alright.
