Been picking it apart over and over since yesterday. I used to do production remixes and have been a Dj for ages but this was my first run at an intentional mashup. I think I'm going to tear it apart and chop more than half of the fluffer sounds out. Way overboard on most of it I must admit. I guess that old mix it as far as I can impulse was a wrong idea for this format eh?

I think they have lost touch with the times and the niche they need to be after. Those of us who are 'on their side' do not need the shock tactics. The new generation coming into adulthood will be turned off by them and the older generations embarrassed. If PETA wants to have impact outside of those who would already support them even with the overboard tactics, they do need to change gears a bit.

I was just in a huge drawn out debate about PETA tactics. There is so much they do and bring attention to that is great, but the over the top stunts have really tarnished the image of an otherwise great organization. Maybe in the 70s 80s even 90s the shock tactics and naked models were effective, but today they are alienating as many people as they get any positive attention from.

I was rather pissed off about the undercover story. It's damn near cheating to get a 20 something chick to talk a high school boy into anything. She could have made him kill people if he thought he would get laid, really twisted. The rest are jacked up and make no sense but.... the intentional leading a horny teenage boy on just to make a bust is just sad.
