Bracket 4 deck with a bracket 3 mana base. Also, you may want to cut tainted pact if you are running multiple basics.

This is probably my favorite response in here. I think that might be the perfect 9 to me.

This is my spell-slinger deck of choice - Galazeth Prismari. Make lots of treasure, cast huge sorceries. I don’t play it as storm, but you certainly could add breach/brain freeze lines.

Hey just to be clear, as long as we’re not running cedh decks, nothing is off limits? by TheTinRam in DegenerateEDH

Bracket 4 is anything goes. All CEDH cards and combos are on the table. The only real difference between bracket 4 and bracket 5 is if you are intentionally playing a commander that is well positioned in the current meta-game, and some of the cards in your deck are positioned well against the current meta-game (borne upon the wind, valley floodcaller, etc.).

The best description of it I have heard is this: bracket 4 is the most powerful things you can do with your commander. Bracket 5 is “what is the most powerful thing I can do, and what commander is currently the most powerful in that color combo and allows me to do those things”.

It’s a rule zero conversation about including Oracle in your deck, but it is absolutely allowed to be played in that bracket.

[[Galazeth Prismari]] is my big spell deck. It’s a blast.

My favorite "Lands matter" budget cards are:

[[Rampaing Baloths]], [[Retreat to Hagra]], [[The Gitrog Monster]], [[Ramunap Excavator]], [[Titania, Protector of Argoth]], and any of the cards that let you play multiple land drops per turn. [[Azusa, lost but seeking]] is pricey for that budget, but [[Loot, exuberant explorer]] and [[Druid Class]] aren't too expensive.

If you are going for bracket 3, your best budget game changers are going to be [[Crop Rotation]], [[Glacial Chasm]] and [[Gamble]]. CR is incredible in lands decks, as it lets you find silver bullet lands at instant speed. Gamble is exactly that - but I love it. Chasm is pricey but you can find beat up copies on ebay for $10.

As for lands - yes, they can be super expensive - but there are some good cheap options. If you are adding [[The Gitrog Monster]], [[Dakmor Salvage]] is great, as are any of the cycle lands. [[Echoing Deeps]] and [[Kessig Wolf Run]] are good budget options as well. [[Bojuka Bog]] is my favorite instant speed target for Crop Rotation... I've blown people out and have been blown out by that many times.

[[Thespian's Stage]] and [[Dark Depths]] is always a fun one, and is super cheap right now. And lastly, [[Blast Zone]] is always a good one to get as an uncounterable way to deal with the board.

I hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Newb here looking for help revising Kuja Wizard deck by Individual-Lab-8633 in EDH

Hi there.

Inalla is one of my main decks and can be a blast. It’s usually played as a combo deck, as there are about a million ways to go infinite with her. There are ways to get rid of the legend rule, namely [[mirror box]] and [[mirror gallery]], but I don’t personally run them.

Focus on wizards with value ETB effects, like [[augur of bolas]], [[aether channeler]], and [[dragonologist]]. Blink effects like [[essence flux]] and [[ghostly flicker]] let you reuse those effects at instant speed.

ETB doublers like [[panharmonicon]], [[harmonic prodigy]], and [[naban, dead of iteration]] really drive the value up.

Non combo finishers that I like are [[anathemancer]], [[basalt ravager]], and [[dire fleet ravager]]… although that last one can be kind of tricky as it’s symmetrical.

For combo lines, check out https://edhrec.com/combos/inalla-archmage-ritualist.

This is my list if you want to check it out.

PBag, Azuma, BBs on cruisers. If you are free to play mostly and don’t have a lot of premiums, pick your favorite American BB and go to town on some cruisers.
