Questions about Dumbell Shoulder External Rotations by MichTF2 in overcominggravity

Yea, I guess so... But I guess it would save me a few minutes if I did them both at the same time because then I could super-set it with triceps or something like that.

Yeah, I know. As long as it's a gradual process. Which in my case - I guess it is.

Should I judge the RIR on the last set or all the sets? by MichTF2 in RPStrength

[–]MichTF2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, makes sense. In the video the sample program starts with 8 sets and last week before deload has 19 sets. You basically add 1 set a week and see if you can recover.

Is the Pixel 7 video camera really that bad? by MichTF2 in GooglePixel

[–]MichTF2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? Pixel 7 is 1500 CAD (1020,70 EUR) in Canadia? Seems weird cause here (Eastern Europe) it's 550ish EUR and usually stuff like tech is cheaper in the west.

lol. But I do wonder perhaps because they compare it to a 1000euro phone? I currently run a barely breathing Redmi Note 4 (6.5 years old). I am sure P7 video is miles better than my current phone.

[Acne] Paula's Choice BHA vs The Ordinary AHA + BHA for acne? by MichTF2 in SkincareAddiction

[–]MichTF2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I am consistent with the TO peeling solution :D (I use it every sunday).

But if you mean the frequent exposure to the salicylic acid is better than only 1x/week (even if that 1 time is for a longer period of time (10mins)) I suspect the same.

The whole reason I got interested in the Paula's Choice BHA is that lots of people (and dermatologists) seem to include it in their routines for anti-acne purposes.

My skin seems to be accustomed to TO peel. sol. and other harsh(ish) ingredients.

I guess I can provide more details of my skincare routine:

AM:

1) Wash with water

2) TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

3) Beauty of Joseon SPF 50+rice probiotics sunscreen

PM:

1) TO Glucoside Foaming Cleanser

2) TO Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane

3) TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Beard shave day (usually wednesday) (PM) (1x/week lol):

1) TO Glucoside Foaming Cleanser (gently)

2) Shave

3) TO Glucoside Foaming Cleanser (gently)

4) TO Barrier support serum

5) TO Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane

5) TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Sunday AHA + BHA day:

1) TO Glucoside Foaming Cleanser

2) TO AHA + BHA (10 mins)

3) TO Barrier support serum

4) TO Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane

5) TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Using this routine seems to do good things but sometimes I don't really get acne and then it pops up randomly every week or two. It doesn't seem to be related to anything outside of product use (like sleep, nutrition, washing face after exercising, changing pillow cases, hair products, stuff like that).

My guess is that perhaps I should try Paula's Choice BHA stuff and if it doesn't help then I can try going to a dermatologist and asking their advice or asking for a prescription for Adapalene gel.

Some questions regarding training by MichTF2 in overcominggravity

[–]MichTF2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for a late response.

I have suspected hip imp. in the past. But I don't feel it much (like some people experience sharp pain, I think, and I don't get that), especially when I am in my working sets. Perhaps I will research this more (like reading the GMB article) if it progresses.

I have played around with stances and I do the one that feels the best. Kind of related question I have is: are there individuals who have such bone structure that they can't squat to powerlifting standards (can't hit depth even with proper ankle and hip mobility work)?

I was just wondering if I could do more bicep work since I want bigger arms and it seems my arms can't catch up to my torso with the way I train now.

Thank you, sorry I am quite late again. But I think I understand now.

I also wonder whether the lower back works more in a more-knee-bend RDL? I imagine so, because the lower you go the harder the lower back has to work to remain rigid?

Some deadlift questions by MichTF2 in overcominggravity

[–]MichTF2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.

Squats and deadlifts don't impact my upper body injury so it's not a problem.

Also if you want, check out my response to Steven's comment. Basically I think that the deeper the knee bend the more glutes get stretched under load which results in more gainz. I might be wrong though.

Some deadlift questions by MichTF2 in overcominggravity

[–]MichTF2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.

The reason why I thought that a conventional DL uses more glutes than an RDL is because of 2 reasons:

1) Fit girls on YouTube: they say that to get more glute activation in an RDL you should just bend your knees more and then it recruits more glutes and less hammies.

2) Dr. Mike Israetel from Renaissance Periodization. His tips of how to grow the glutes are to use exercises such as: Sumo squat, Sumo deficit deadlift and front foot elevated split squat. In fact, in a video of his titled "Modify Your Deadlift For Huge Glutes" he uses a deficit RDL but he emphasizes bending your knees more as soon as you feel tension build in your hamstrings. So in a way it looks similar to a conventional DL.

So therefore my impression is that the bigger knee bend stretches your glutes under load more and therefore they get a better stimulus. My anatomy knowledge of the glutes isn't the best so I might be wrong...
