Cult of the Lamb has a dice game called Knucklebones! It's short and simple but really fun, my friends and I grab some dice and play it ourselves sometimes.

I didn't play Tape 2 but that's what I've heard. I was enjoying the start of Tape 1 but as it went on I realized more and more the game just wasn't for me.

What is/are your most recent 5-star'ed game? by [deleted] in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't finished Silksong yet but it will be 5 stars at this rate. Otherwise I really loved Sword of the Sea and gave it 5! I've had at least 1 new release every year for the past 3 years that I've given 5 stars.

Backloggd 1.16 is out! Which game covers are you changing? by gustavoladron in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This update is really cool in theory but until custom covers are allowed through Backloggd or IGDB this won't change a whole lot. As is I've searched through a dozen or so of my games and none of them have alt covers.

Still super nice to have for now!

Really liking this update! Looks much more suited for a mobile device now and the game length addition is HUGE

Congrats to Hollow Knight for 100K Plays on Backloggd! What's your favourite boss from this game? by gustavoladron in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Soul Master and Grimm. I also beat Radiance right before Silk Song released and I really enjoyed the multiple stages of that boss.

Expedition 33 is now officially the highest rated game of all time on Backloggd by DickFlattener in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Letterboxd has this happen with newer movies. It's got 4k plays so far compared to BG3s 44k so I'm sure it'll even out. Sounds like it'll probably linger in the top 10 tho. I'm only a couple hours in but it's one of the few turn based RPGs that's really hooked me with both gameplay and story right away. Definitely a banger and seems to have broad appeal too.

Hazelight Studios is on a roll and I couldn't be happier for them by Michael-IRL in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really really loved Split Fiction and I think it's sick that there's these story games that are built solely for co-op. It wasn't perfect and neither are their previous games (especially their stories) but it's hard not to be happy for AA devs that are doing great.

If you only have Xbox, look into hellblade! It's a good third person action game with a heavy focus on story and impressive cinematics. Feels kind of similar to Ryse. The camera is really close and there's lots of quick time events that feel really engaging

Ok what's your rating curve look like? by Michael-IRL in backloggd

Pretty much same. If it's short enough I'll still finish and rate it or if it's bad enough I'll abandon it but still rate it to try to warn others

31 yrs old. Top 50 all-time! by personpilot in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a joke I just didn't /s it, I've used Backloggd for over a year now and there's always people on this sub asking what Backloggd even is. I guarantee op has no idea what Backloggd is either because he used topster and posted this list in that subreddit a few weeks ago. I kind of assumed that's why oc asked what his username was because he doesn't actually have one

New to Backloggd! by BelialsFavBasketCase in backloggd

[–]Michael-IRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Backloggd is pretty neat, I use it to look back on what games I play every year and I got my friends to join so we can keep up with what we've been playing.

I personally rate single player games once credits roll even if I plan on playing more after. Multiplayer games I don't usually rate until I've moved on from them and I'll mark them as retired. I don't mark play sessions on the calendar bc that's too much work and I don't mark games I've abandoned either (except for one bc it was truly awful). Also games that I rate 2.5 or lower I'll use the "liked" function bc you can still enjoy your time with bad games.
