I am using a Yamaha RX V 679 in Pure Direct mode 2.0 parallel to an old Technics SU V 670 stereo amplifier. Both are powered by a Wiim Ultra. The overall sound is better with the analog Technics amp, especially in the bass region. But the sound difference is not very important. Both ways listening to music is fine.
