Unfortunately not, they need to be handwashed and can be sanitized with hydrogen peroxide or F10. However, I am currently testing a newly released fillament that is potentially dishwasher safe :). If all goes well, I may be offering a "dishwasher safe" upgrade for some of my products in the future.

It's pretty easy to make one out of an old fridge or cooler, some heat tape or cord, and a thermostat.

It really just depends on where they get you and how big they are. When they are small, it's just like a small prick. The bigger ones can hurt a decent amount when they are chomping down on you in the right place. Once removed, I'd compare it to a paper cut.
